That's how I got the information the first time. Like I said, I've been trying throughout the day to get it again. I must've had about 5 times where they didn't give me any information and then I got the right CSR and they said Wednesday again about a few hours ago. Everyone who wants to try using the verbiage that I used and see where that gets you!

I think you should do a fish tail braid for the lanyard and loop it to give it a more finished look

VZW is watching this forum I can promise you and that post probably got whomever her name is in trouble and she was an example and the other CSR's took note. Happens at my work all the time....I hate being the example too.

This can't be said enough times. Awesome explanation Chief.

Rooting only allows you to access system files that normally are locked. OTA updates will still happen (although you may have to re-root). The only issues you'll see with OTA updates is if you root and then remove some applications (aka Verizon bloatware). You'll still get the OTA, but it will fail installation until you put those apps back.
 
Just checking in for the first time since about 8:30 this morning. I gotta say, some of you are making it hard for me to understand what the hell you're saying with your grammar and typos! lol

Yesterday was what I would call an epic day in here. Looks like we've had a disturbance in the force today. I'm gonna try to read through, but if someone wants to do a bullet point recap I'd be much obliged. I've got some reading to do...

If things go the way we hope they do we only have 4.5 (or so) days left on this thread. Thanks to Phases, Stephen, Early, OTD, all the other mods and all of you for an excellent bonding experience!

I have a question regarding the Rent-a-Rz thing... I know it's a little late in the game, but I'm curious:

I was asking a CSR about doing this and she said that if I got aforementioned Rz phone, it would use my upgrade and I wouldn't be able to return it for the GNex without paying full retail price. I even told her about the new return policy, but she insisted that would be the case. Can someone confirm what would be the case? I'm pretty sure she was wrong.

BTW, I'm not necessarily considering doing this since we're FINALLY in the home stretch and I wouldn't want to pay a $35 restocking fee, but I'm just interested.
