Now, now, we at Verizon don't use the word "box". That's the first of many secure containment vessels meant to "Rule the Packaging". Campaign to be announced soon.

I knew it! I actually just called the corporate store in my area and spoke to one of the managers. He told me the same thing! His store is expecting stock Wednesday and will have it for sale Thursday but pointed out that if you go to some of the other smaller retailers in the same area they have already confirmed they won't have stock on the 8th.

Thank you for providing us with this confirmation though. :D

That is also lacking the red capacitive buttons that shipped with the final retail version.

Conclusion?

If this has already been discussed, I apologize....but Han...your probation period seems to have lasted quite awhile now. Was your crime so heinous that probation had to last this long? I am a little surprised that more people haven't commented on this yet. However, I feel you add more honesty, integrity, humor, and helpful information to this thread as much as anyone, and your probation at this point seems a bit excessive.

Just my two cents.

Also I've been getting a few e-mails about these leaked box photos you guys have been sharing and just wanted to stop and clarify that this is not the complete Verizon retail packaging that you guys will get when you purchase your devices. These are unbranded boxes that have been sent out to various reviewers and testers. Also, one of my contacts was able to trace those specific photos to the demo units provided to the Samsung Experience store in NYC.

So just to reiterate, these are pre-release boxes. I hope this will clear things up for you guys. :)

But didn't he himself state that he's just here to confirm the current status not to specfically provide new info? Also are you really trying to pass off that release dates are "common knowledge" now?

We're getting a little crazy here now, no? :rolleyes:

Not that I'm doubting you, but let's keep in mind the email he got could have been from his friend who has a buddy who's sister is dating a guy that has a "source on the inside." It means absolutely nothing. Also, you made an appointment? At a Verizon store? Again, I'm not doubting that he told you all this, I'm just doubting that he has any idea what he's talking about. I base this on the hundreds of other times we've all seen this happen.

Thanks for the sentiment, Green. My probation doesn't expire until December 11. I could have appealed it, but decided not to. (Not because of anything in particular, I just don't want to go through the hassle.)

I just hope that the 2 year old fetus finally births while I'm still in black.
