The store across from the mall or the kiosk inside Citrus Park Mall? Who did you speak with?

They said that they would reserve one for me if I wanted it. I've already reserved it at another store, so I passed. The store is the Citrus Park store in Tampa. I guess Verizon is doing something special for current customers to ensure those of us who currently are customers are basically guaranteed we will get it the day it becomes available.

This is the opposite of what they have done in the past. They've usually let "new contracts" have dibs on new devices.

If they did that, it would be a pleasant surprise for me.

How do we know the "photographer" isn't just someone who stole the pics and trying to pass off as his own? With the amount of hype surround this phone anything is possible right now.

This was the case when I use to work at bank of America. One employee might give the wrong info out because he Didn't know how to navigate the system correctly. It's a good point, since when I worked at VZW corporate (not the store), they were still programming in legacy DB2, and they still use these systems. DB2 is a bit of a chore to get through sometimes/all the time.
 
ok so I tried to kidnap a verizon rep today, but as I was stuffing the dude into my trunk, the cops rolled up.
after they tackled me and cuffed me, the cop asked what did I think I was doing?
I told him I just trying to get some more info on the nexus.

He says, "Oh, the Galaxy Nexus release date? Why didnt you say so!?"

so he takes my cuffs off, and says "Let the professionals handle this. That what the interrogation room is for." and puts the verizon guy in his squad car, tells me he will be in touch and then drives off with the guy.

so get excited, we should know something soon!!!!

LOL, i asked the same thing. Also theres that store down the road too. I cant remember the name of the road, but it comes up as citrus park for me. But it isnt corp

Which is true, but there's no reason to take it out on a very potential customer.

I'll hide the other part of this seeing as it's a bit OT:

I work in a customer service position over the summer when I go home from college and get asked the same question day in and day out.

Do I get annoyed? Of course.
Do I change my tone of voice towards customers who ask me the question later in the day? No, actually, I don't. These people are all "potential" customers, and I want to keep my job.

I'm not trying to sound superior to this lady, but all it takes is a simple "Sorry, we haven't heard anything yet" rather than an angry "No we haven't" to keep a customer happy.

Well, the original poster of the pics was able to clue us in to it being a retail package, which we confirmed upon closer examination, DID have a verizon marking on it. open1your1eyes said it was a plain developer box. He was wrong.
 
So i have not read every page of this thread... But my buddy just left a VZW Corp store and they said there is no launch date yet but they are getting accessories in store... That was about an hour ago here in Athens Tx..

Also I've been getting a few e-mails about these leaked box photos you guys have been sharing and just wanted to stop and clarify that this is not the complete Verizon retail packaging that you guys will get when you purchase your devices. These are unbranded boxes that have been sent out to various reviewers and testers. Also, one of my contacts was able to trace those specific photos to the demo units provided to the Samsung Experience store in NYC.
So just to reiterate, these are pre-release boxes. I hope this will clear things up for you guys. :)

Oh god, I have 2 chemistry labs and a pre-lab due tomorrow, and a giant English essay due Friday... This phone is gonna screw up my grades :(

BTW I called all nearby Verizon stores and they said they haven't heard any info regarding it and don't know when the phones will arrive. Sad.

I totally agree. People around here were showering him with thanks and I don't understand why. People here are so desperate they are becoming more gullible by they day.

It's just a phone people. When it comes out it comes out. If this is the biggest concern in your life and you're experiencing real anxiety over it then it's time to step away from the computer and stay away. I'm not trying to be a jerk, I'm just telling you it's not psychologically healthy for you. Enjoy your family and friends instead of coming here and arguing and obsessing.

I wish you had just told us the info when you got it. By telling us of your method, you have revealed you violated OTDs standing rules on getting info from VZW reps. Don't worry, she's a friendly vampire, you won't suffer TOO much. ;)

He never said it was completely white, he just said unbranded (that could mean a few things especially in context to him).

why does this matter? if he turns out to be wrong then he will have lost respect and will no longer be trusted

and if that happens people can go back and remove their thanks if they want or just not worry about it...it's not like he can take the thanks and redeem them somewhere
