I'm on my phone so it's a pain in the ass to type so I'm not gonna explain it all but I will tell you as long as you sync your contacts to your google account(google account is required for android) and not saved to the phone, you never have to worry about losing your contacts

so does anyone know for sure if Best Buy will have the phone on friday? I have $130 in Premier Zone dollars to use. Any help would be appreciated...

Oh, please don't think it is like that. I play poker for a living and I don't have tons of money. The only reason I was able to get anything is that I have played a lot of tournaments lately where Best Buy gift cards are the door prizes or side prizes. I won enough over the year to cover me for the Nexus and some other Christmas gifts I needed to get this year.

Ok, I have advice, YMMV.

When you use your gmail to activate the phone, all your google stuff, contacts, calendar, etc., can be synced to your phone. If you ever wipe out your phone for any reason, it will sync next time too. There is usually no need to worry about that part.

Same for apps. Any that you buy will be reloaded when you redo your phone. For mine, my free ones do too. Dont know about others.

I highly suggest that you use the phone as is a while. If anything comes up that makes you need root, then plan for any needed backups before you pull the trigger.

A stock phone is gonna keep you entertained for quite a while.

Again, YMMV.

I'm going with the extended battery too. I was planning on it regardless but knowing it doesn't add much bulk makes me really happy.

I had to get up off of the couch to see the price on that. LOL.

My PC via HDMI to my Samsung 42" LCD TV. Wireless keyboard and mouse.

That's my plan. I think it sounds like we will have it there on Friday as well. Although there was some talk of it being in 3rd party stores on the 11 at some point?

Anyone else have more recent intel?
 
Well...that freaking battery. If that pictures from P3 is legit, it really doesn't look like it adds anything to the size of the phone.

Remember when rumors were flying around about the battery being 2100mAh?

I'd be willing to bet money that either that battery was being used in some test units, or somebody at Verizon or Samsung saw a way to make some extra money.

Noooo, dont take it like that. it was more of a Joke. I dont have tons of money either, but when I do I kinda spend it... IE: 2 HP touchpads (firesale!), Galaxy Nexus, and Droid Razr lol

I think eventually I would have gotten it too, but now I plan on getting it when I pick up the phone. Then for Chrismakuah I'll get myself the other accessories I want. My case should be here tomorrow! And my Mom's Rezound case too. I got us the TPU Diztronic ones from Amazon (I'm a student prime member which = free membership! :p). Mine is the translucent gray and her's is the matte black I think.
