On the contrary, the piece of my brain that likes conspiracies is telling me that Verizon could have bought the "exclusivity" agreement NOT to sell the Nexus, but to specifically remove the Nexus from the market entirely. The longer Verizon drags their feet, the more outdated the Nexus will become and thus, people will buy other phones instead allowing Verizon to live happily ever after in bloat world.

Then why go through the trouble of shipping the phones to stores? I doubt that's the plan. Think of the people using their upgrades to get this phone, that's money in Verizon pocket.

I spoke to my local guy. He was frank with me. He told me that he received an email saying it had been moved back, then another saying that it had been restored to 12/9 and now aNOTher one saying that 12/15 is now the day and that they are forbidden from selling it beforehand.

I asked him why, he said he didn't know.

edit:I have no doubt people are having 4g issues but I think there is more to the reason for the delay. Like Verizons EGO or something. This is not turning out to be a soft launch like they wanted. They will probably release a statement on the launch day(whenever that is) saying:"ready,set, go get you nexus!"
