UPDATE 2:
I called Verizon to find out why I'm not getting data and the voice recording said they are aware of issues in my area. With many reports like this, there definitely seems to be a widespread outage, albeit obviously not a nationwide outage since data is working fine for some.
Now whether this is just some twisted coincidence or if is has direct relavance to the Nexus launch delay is not clear.
I had 4G up until about 2:50. Sitting in the basement of downtown Minneapolis building. Usually I get 1-2 bars solid all day. Been cycling from 1X to nothing the past 20 minutes.

that's exactly what i said in my last post, i had a feeling that could be the reason for the possible push back. I mean how bad would it look.
Verizon: Here's your brand new Nexus, i know we took forever to get it to you but here it is, FINALLY!
Us: WTF IS THIS? WHATS UP WITH THE 4G, WHY WOULD YOU GIVE US THIS PIECE OF JUNK IF THE 4G DOESN'T WORK.

Until the 15th comes around and all of a sudden it's the 22nd, then the process repeats itself again, and again, and again. It's like the Gnex is caught in a black hole causing ripples in the space and time continuum.

Long time lurker coming out of hiding to give you some juicy insider info on the release date:
My third cousin twice removed is a janitor at the secret underground Verizon headquarters. (The above groud coroprate structure is basically a puppet organization, which explains a lot) He over heard some very high up people talking about the Galaxy Nexus. As many of have guessed, Android 4.0 is actually future technology, developed in the year 2074 by genetically engineered computer scientists bred to create phone OSes for the purposes of global domination. The plan was to transport the phone back in time and sell them now for enormous profit. However, due to fluctuations in the space-time continuum, they have not been able to hold the portal open in a stable fashion. This is why there is so much back and forth about the release date. In fact there is a good chance it will collapse altogether. My cousin says the best bet is to plan for a firm release in 63 years, but depending on quantum fluctuations, we may get it as early as 1969 to coincide with the moon landing.

This is my Verizon story.
Just stopped at my Verizon store on the way home and my rep said it's still on for Friday. We talked about the nationwide LTE problem. Half of the LTE phones in the store were still pulling in a signal and the other half were down to 3G. Her Tbolt was still running on 4G.
They have the phones and the accessories. She said there won't be a problem getting one because it's not an iPhone. The store is five minutes from my house. I'll show up Friday morning and see what happens.

I was about to post about how my 4g had been flawless. Then I flip on the screen to the Thunderbolt and am greeted with the "YOUR PHONE IS BELOW 15% BATTERY CONNECT TO CHARGER"

Well, my Corporate guy has not texted me not to come on Friday yet. Assuming I don't hear from him I'm just going to be checking AF from work to see if anyone has gotten one yet. Regardless, I will still show up on Friday night and make sure everyone knows how inconvenient it is if they won't sell me one (I got to a VZW store out of my way because the guy has been good to me in the past so I like to give him my business). His last text to me was at 5:54 PM PST last night "I double checked, I will have it on Friday. I'll hold one for you!"

Alright everyone i know im not the HanSolo or any of the other big names in the thread, but i would like to share my personal story.

I told the manager i was looking to upgrade to either the nexus or the razr and that another corporate store a few miles down the road said i could get the nexus on friday. He seemed visibly upset and asked if I knew the employee i talked to because they werent supposed to talk about it. I told him i did not.
We proceeded to talk about the differences in the two phones and i mentioned that i wasnt a huge fan of the Nexus not having a micro sd card slot. He seemed shocked by this bit of information and said be right back.
He went down into some room below the store, came back up and said "hmm looks like youre right". I proceeded to ask if he knew anything about a release date. He told me that verizon is trying to keep this phone on the down low as they phased out older models and he wasnt allowed to say anything. I said I understood. As I left, however, he did say "now you didnt hear it from me, but if someone wanted a nexus, I would come to this store friday morning". I said "oh is that so?" and he replied with "I'm not a betting man, but as the manager, I would bet you will get your nexus."

The only thing is...we started hearing reports that the equipment guide started getting the date removed and changed to "Coming Soon" last night, long before the 4G outage issues came around today.

Change the date to get back at your employees and piss of the customers... Is Michael Scott running this show?
I can not believe how much time I waste in hear catching up to find everyone spinning round and round as if they are on a bad acid trip.
Suggestion for the Mods/Admin/Owner get a "time calculator" so one knows how much time they truly spend on this site. XboX Live has this for some video games, I always find great self worth in seeing others who have accumulated more time then I in said place. I think many of us would be in favor of it.
Seriously, have any of you considered how many DAYS over the last few months you have spent in this thread. I'm not mad, just impressed!
