Not sure many or even any were ever produced. Hard to say what happened. My guess is it was planned in some way, but either got ditched before existence because of Droid Incredible or Google backed out at some point and it became the droid incredible instead or something. Regardless I don't believe actual CDMA Nexus One's were ever produced in any quantity or there would be such a device hanging around here and there in a rare way.

LOL, it doesn't hurt to try. The CSR may be like "hunh, but he has a dumb phone, mobile hotspot add-on? does not compute" - give it a shot.
 
I hope it's not cancelled! I am trying to have faith but Verizon is trying to erase it like it was never here. Verizon has to say something soon...
 
I posted yesterday that I had talked to a store here in Phoenix who has stock, well I called them again today and talked to my rep.

He said that he had seen the change of the 9th to 'coming soon' and said that no one at that corporate store had received an email saying the phone has been delayed (thats what he said none the less). He is still hinting at Friday and said to call first thing in the morning.

I also talked to my buddy who runs the authorized retailer who has sold me two different phones before launch day in the past. He said he is expecting the phones tomorrow. I guess we'll see all around.

I still have a feeling that it will be Friday or atleast early next week. Today definitely was not fun though. Not saying im thinking of leaving Verizon but im definitely fed up with them to say the least. I mean CES is a month away. Were going to see Tegra3 devices running ICS. People in Europe already have the device and there certainly hasn't been any mass recall's. But then again all of Europe isn't trying to sell the "R" phones lol
 
I haven't been on here all day been busy with work all day. Can someone catch me up to speed please? :)
and theres another delay or thats just another rumor, but yet everything else we get that is news is usually a rumor.
 
Hey Steven, I have also enjoyed the company here (if my post count is any indication.) we have been waiting for over two months together, what's another week. But it's not like we're going anywhere, and at least I'm not. Only this thread is.

I mentioned that tomorrow's meeting could get canceled... completely misinterrupted to mean the phone and people ran with it. My point was why have a meeting tomorrow, if the phone launch is not happening on Friday. All of that in reference to someone saying that we'd get news tomorrow after that meeting. Chill peeps!
 
So I texted my friend at Verizon a little bit earlier to see if he could tell me anything at all.

This along with other internet chatter and what P3 actually tweeted earlier about being investigated makes me believe that Verizon is seriously cracking down on leaks. I'm starting to wonder if all this isn't just because they want the control over the release and the information that goes out about it.

THIS, people will realize soon enough. I never ran any of his roms but I use his SBFs till this day. Hope he's trolling.
 
Verizon is NOT going to cancel this device yall. They are planning on it anchoring their android sales for months to come. They just want the phone to work well out of the box. They have had too many poor phones out of the gate lately. I am sure some exec said I don't care how long it takes, and when we release it, but it's going to work right!
 
I just made a desperate phone call before they close to my closest corp store...they in the past have always said we have no info...TODAY she says very nonchalantly it launches Friday. The are very "go by the book" at this store!!!!
 
Droid life is reporting the nexus is gone from the equipment guide completely. I don't know when they had problems with 4g services but I knew the launch was delayed before noon from the local store.
 
I just checked two premium sellers in my area, the first one didn't know anything new just that it had been available for Friday, but postponed. While I was there someone else came up and asked about the Nexus Prime.
At the second one they also had no idea when it would be released but told me they had gotten product in three hours ago. The guy told me that he would sell it to me if he could but there was nothing he could do until he was told he could sell it. Earlier he had someone offer him $1,000 for it but he couldn't sell it.
The good news is that he let me see the phone and it felt good in the hand. The bad news is that it wasn't turned on so I couldn't play with it.
I really hope this releases soon.
