I think it's all Verizon....
The Samsung hardware seems to be good enough on the GSM version.
Well I guess verizon better not sit on it too much longer. Im sure their "exclusivity" isn't unlimited.

Regarding the whole cancellation of the phone scenario...
It's too late in the game, they have to release the phone. The phones have been manufactured, packaged, and (maybe) shipped. Too much money tied up in this phone.
Also, if Verizon cancels the phone I'm sure they are going to owe Google a pretty sizable chunk of cash due to the exclusivity contract.
Way I see it is, unless there exists an inherent hardware flaw; Verizon needs to let the damn phone go on sale. The way they are dealing with the G-Nex launch is asinine, I get the feeling they're postponing for some minute reason, whether that be a power-play with Google or Verizon's fortune teller saw a bad omen in their tea leaves. They should at least communicate with us, the consumers; they're in the communications enterprise after all...

Have you ever been to Cabo Wabo? That place is nuts.
Anyone know if you can get your NE2 when upgrading at Radio Shack? Also, can Radio Shack apply the cost to your VZW bill, or do you have to go to VZW for that?
I'd call and ask, but they don't open here for another hour.
If they were to cancel this phone, I would get out of Verizon as soon as my contract expires. It will be the biggest self-destruction of a public corporation not tied to finance we will ever see. Google will immediately move to make it available on AT&T and T-Mobile subsidized, and those two carriers will have a FIELD DAY with advertising. Plus Verizon will have pissed off Samsung, Google, and Motorola. Their Droid brand will die. Since the only decent WP7 hardware is nokia, who doesn't do CDMA, they will be left with the scraps of android and WP7, along with the iPhone. No thanks, no need to be involved in that.
(By the way, this scenario shows just how unlikely the phone cancellation will be. Verizon execs are not THAT stupid.)I hope
The more sample videos I watch, the more the camera seriously disappoints me.
When he moves the camera in this video, there is a wave effect that awful. Someone commented a few pages back, and I believe this is referred to rolling shutter?
I would rather have 360p video without the wave effect than 1080p video with the wave effect.

At this point, I assume that Verizon is the one holding this phone back. Samsung has said they're wating on partners. Google said they're waiting on partners. So until Verizon says SOMETHING, it's 100% their fault. IMO
But Verizon CSRs say they are waiting on Samsung/Google for the date
Google: It's ready in our eyes, go ahead and release it
Samsung: It's ready in our eyes, go ahead and release it
Verizon: It's ready in our eyes, just waiting on you guys.
Google/Samsung: Waiting on what? We said we are good.
Verizon: Waiting on a date to launch it.
Google/Samsung: That's your call! But if its ready, release it now!
Verizon: By now, do you mean like today, tomorrow, next week, Dec 31st? Can you clarify?
Google/Samsung: Today would be great!
Verizon: Oh well today doesn't work for us.
Google/Samsung: Tomorrow then!
Verizon: Um, my schedule is all booked for tomorrow.
Google/Samsung: Well when is your schedule not booked?
Verizon: Dec. 31st looks good.
Google/Samsung: What!? Whatever, fine, Dec. 31st
Verizon: OK. (to his assistant) Inform customers that we are waiting on Samsung and Google to release, they said they would like us to release it on Dec. 31st, and it is the only date we could get them to agree with us on.
It's 8:00 a.m. I should be at work preparing to mold young minds but I took off to pick up my Nexus. Here's hoping it's not in vain.
Someone got in on the Matias Duarte convo on Google+ the other day, and he came right out and said Google is not happy that this phone is not in US customer's hands... Read into that what you will. They could be mad at Samsung for not having a quality product ready when it turned it over to VZW for testing... who knows.
