I am a little confused.
I am also getting truly sick of V's BS.
If the phone has been shipped already, the hardware can't be changed.
If the phone is already in use in Europe and Canada, it works,
Since any softwareupdates can be done wirelessly,
WTF is going on?????????????
AT&T, and Iphone here I come!!!!!!!

I GOT A NEXUS!!

April Fool's!

Oh wait it's not April Fool's, but I bet it comes around before the Nexus is released.

Sorry guys I couldn't resist. We need a little Friday humor this morning on what should have been an awesome day.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say you are gonna get some negative feedback from this.....starting in 3....2.....1........

i was told last night by a verizon store manager that they are under strict orders to not show any demo units. He even told me they had 1 in the back, and that something regarding a demo unit being shown off was reason for the delay.....he was telling me everything straight up, so not sure what reason he'd have to lie.

lulz

What I feel like today.

Nice! It made me think of this. The 80's were a lot of fun....

Just walked into a corporate store in Glen Mills, PA and the sales Rep told me that the phone was to release today but was pushed back to an unknown date by Samsung. So there you go. No phone today. Take that reasoning for whatever its worth.

Didn't realize there are any corporate VZW stores that open at 8am.

Anyone get the sneaking feeling that OS makers and smartphone manufacturers are going to sue each other out of existence?

Leaving us with smoke signals and cans-on-a-line.

I am kind of hoping that eventually, everyone settles with everyone, everyone cross licenses the ridiculous overly general patents the US has granted without monetary stipulations, and we get back to manufacturers spending their money on R&D and not litigation.

before we all continue to go pitchforks and torches on VZW, has anyone stopped to think that maybe WE caused the delay? WHAT IF this phone always had the plan to be a soft launch. no pr, no real advertising, etc. but after such HUGE responses from the Nexus Faithful, VZW decided to hold up to get tons and tons of advertisement ready for this phone because they now see what kind of demand there is for it and wants to push it hard.

Keep in mind that the effect you're seeing (often referred to as the 'jello effect') is also sometimes evident, although to a lesser degree, in pricey dedicated HD camcorders.

So I'm pretty happy with it. Of course I guess I'd need the phone to shoot some video and at this point, that's pretty questionable.

Maybe some expensive DSLRs that also shoot video, but the reputable, dedicated camcorders are using CCD sensors that capture a whole image, write it, capture another image, write it, etc., preventing this effect.

It's only the CMOS cameras that read a line at a time that have this problem.

(And as far as I know, CCDs for whatever practical limitation don't get put in cell phone cameras, so it's not as if that was an option.)

You're thinking way too hard, bro.

I want to buy the ReZound from Costco so that I can definitely get the Double Data promotion.

My question is.. if I buy the ReZound today, and return it in.. 10 days, I know that I will get my money and my upgrade back, but will I still have the Double Data plan on my line, or will they take that back too?

The main reason I want to do this is to lock myself into 4gb for $30.

I plan on buying the ReZound, returning in 10 days (or sooner if the GNex is launched). If I did this, would I then be able to use my upgrade at a VZW store, or would I HAVE to buy the Nexus from Costco to get the upgrade price?

Thanks a lot!

Good morning again -- now at work.

Hoping to see some people on the east coast with phones in hand. Gonna call the BJs and my local store to see what they tell me, although its probably gonna be a delay until 12/15, but worth a shot.

Tired of waiting on Nexus, what do you like about iphone over android?

Stability has been the biggest point for me. Android (on the Bionic) was very buggy; restarting during calls, battery getting very hot, CRAPPY camera (insane shutter lag), and terrible battery life. Iphone has been very stable for me so far, camera is absolutely perfect, I can get through an entire day plus some on a single charge.

There are plenty of things I miss though on Android; native navigation, customization, 4G, more apps tend to be free or cheaper, bigger screen, ...

Overall I am very happy with my Iphone and have no regrets. Much more than I could've said with the Bionic.
