Yea I've said that for years.... People complain about how high a gallon on gas is but it gets drilled, removed from the ground, shipped half way around the planet, refined then shipped to terminals then trucked to your local gas station. When you think of it that way, gas is cheap and milk and ink don't make any damn sense

quoted for truth. a customer's attitude is largely the determining factor in how far out of my way i am willing to go for them. we have made more than our share of "complicated" items that are a far cry from anything on our menu. show a little respect, realize that you are asking a favor, and you will get exactly what you want.
i feel like i do have to say though, no matter how terrible their attitude is, there will be no shenanigans with their food. this behavior is unacceptable and even joking about it will not be tolerated under my watch. i have been furious with customers before, and while i will give them the bare minimum in service, i promise you that their meal was fine.
So I drop by this small RadioShack and ask if they had the Galaxy Nexus, both sale guys immediately said "yes we do" so I ask if I could take one and they said yes right away. One goes to the back and comes back with the phone in hand and tells me "I've been waiting to activate one of this phones. Then we go trough the process online at the RadioShack/Verizon web portal, he double check that I can get a discount (check), goes to replace the phone (check, no problem), then he get's my credit card/drivers license and is about to charge when the other sales person (a girl this time) was on the phone with some one from Verizon helping her with an iPhone and she ask the guy helping me if he had a question to the Verizon person and passes the phone to him.... so he proceed to the tell the Verizon person that his about to sell a Galaxy Nexus and if he has to do anything else besides the system and charge for the phone when the person at the end of the line tells him (and I heard what he said pretty loud)... YOU GUYS CAN'T SELL ANY NEXUS UNTIL WE GIVE YOU THE GO AHEAD... the RadioShack guy pull his head down like a little kid and listed to the Verizon rep, hangs up and tells me "sorry men, can't sell you the phone... we don't have a release date but if you want I can take your phone number and let you know when you can come by to pick it up".... (*&^% YOU VERIZON!!!! REALLY!!!!
The only time I think the consumer gets way overcharged is with printer ink cartridges. I spend like $50 every time I run out of ink
The Nexus is definitely worth the $300 subsidized, if not the $700 retail. Cutting edge tech isn't cheap.
Milk, ink, and bottled water.![]()
the, lets not get started on bottled water haha. its been flowing through underground water tables and springs for hundreds/thouands/millions of years, but they put it in a water bottle and put an expiration date on it like wtf![]()
You should always look at cost per page when purchasing a printer. Laser printers are always better, but can vary greatly. Our dell color laser at work cost $600 or so, but prints 9000 black pages per $55 cartridge. The color pages cost more to print, but it's still an order of magnitude better than any inkjet. My thoughts are to buy a laser printer, color or B&W, for home use, and get photos printed at Walmart or your local pharmacy.

On Friday, radio shack told me they couldn't sell the Galaxy Nexus until Sunday. Does anything think I should actually show up tomorrow, or should I just forget about it bc right now, it seems like there's no chance of getting it before the 15th.
Are we really going to do this every night until the phone releases in January?
I'd like the Nexus on Sunday, but I'm hoping I can convince a Verizon corporate store to give me a hundred bucks off with that mailer posted on Droid-Life, so I'll wait until the 15th. If anyone is from Illinois, you should check to see if you've gotten it in your mail. That's what I was told too. I'm going to go to Radio Shack tomorrow and try.

Does it do 11x17?
Well I just blew $400 on snowboard and ski stuff for the wife and me.
Take your time, idiots.
Take your time.
Yup... I just bought a $300 pair of boots - Salomon Malamutes. Gnarly stiff boots.
VZW take your time![]()
I'm interested in knowing how most of you refresh and stay on the thread here. Sometimes I use my laptop but most of the time I use my iPad 2. It's usually in my lap.
