all I can tell you is i got it added to my account last thursday. The CSR lady was really nice and we talked about the nexus. I asked her if it could be used on that, and she said yes as long as it comes out before the end of the year.

I hope its true but I'm calling BS on the $100.00 off promo on the nexus.

Maybe on other phones but not on a new release.

How can their be a promo on a phone that does not exist yet?

Like I said, I hope it true, even if it would not apply to me as an existing subscriber.

Yakju and all variants of it are GSM firmware builds. The variants of Yakju (ie - yakjuxw) are regional builds distributed by Samsung.

The LTE firmware build is Mysid. I don't foresee Samsung releasing firmware builds, as LTE is locked to one region. So you should be fine - nothing to worry about.

To answer your question, though - there is no 'easy' way to check instore that I'm aware of.

Why'd they name the LTE firmware build after shrimp? This phone is anything but a shrimp.

its always worth a few mintues of a phone call... even if it is regional, you might get lucky with an unknowing csr and have it added anyway

This brings back memories of the East Coast region only discount floating around when the OG Droid was released. I called the number that was on the flier and got chewed out by some regional sales rep, he was so mad at me for calling. Haha.

Vodafone (who owns 45% of Verizon) released their pricing and is starting its pre order on the phone. Vodafone was also holding off on releasing the phone because of "further testing". Of course the GWallet issue doesn't apply to them because of course GWallet is only for the US at the moment..

...I'm not sure if you've seen the Pats' defense, but, they are not likely to expose anyone as being a horrible QB. NE should win, but, Tebow will also likely have his best passing game of the season against them.

It has everything with tebow attempting to imitate a professional QB and nothing to do with the Pats def...simple as that. he will be forced to actually throw the ball early in the game and he will have to be better than 3/15 for 45 yards. it does not matter what defense he faces..he looks the same...always like crap

Well I just sent an email to try my luck at getting the $100 mailer discount added to my account. I figured it couldn't hurt to try. I'm off contract so hopefully that helps. Has anyone figured out how they have been deciding which customers are receiving the mailer?

You're kind of late to the party, but ok.

I don't care, but I'm sick of hearing about him. I'm seeing more and more nutty fanaticism where he can do no wrong. I simply do not think he deserves all this attention. You said it yourself - he thanks his team. He's at the helm, his crew wins for him. Obviously he's talented. He's in the NFL. But as I said, I simply don't see his being deserving of all the attention/hype.

If you believe my dislike for him is due to his religious beliefs, you could not be more wrong. I don't care which god you worship, nor do I care how you do it. To imply that I'm a bigot simply for believing what I believe about him says a lot. I could equate it to other things, but I will stay away from politics/religion...as that always causes problems.

I'm not a hater, or a bigot, or anything you want to call me. I think Jay Cutler sucks, and he gets a ton of attention. I think Brady wouldn't be half as good as he is if he didn't have such an amazing team around him. Terrel Owens...a circus side show. An incredibly gifted athlete, but why did he get so much attention? Because of who he is OFF the field. I merely observe. If that makes me a bigot, then I'll be a bigot. But that doesn't change my opinion that Tebow gets far too much attention for mediocre performance - and I stated before, it's probably because of his religious beliefs he gets so much of it!

Can we stop talking about him now?

As much as I don't think it will sell well, there is that niche market that likes physical keyboards, and in all likelihood, this could end up being their last phone to come with GB, with future releases coming with ICS. It makes sense that they would release this before the nexus if you believe the cannibalizing old OS/sell more razrs conspiracy.
