Assuming we actually get to own it someday... Haha just kidding. I fully expect after 20 months of having the best phone in the world, and not having to deal with the worst part of verizon, most of us will be ready to re-up if there is a good choice out there.

OT Football
Know who else's will to win is ridiculous? Everyone in the NFL. No one wants to lose. If Prater doesn't make two 50+ yard field goals, we're not having this discussion. If the defense doesn't force Barber to cough up the ball in OT, we're not having this conversation. It's not like Tebow did anything great - he couldn't even move the ball to get Prater a shot at an average field goal, he had to make it from almost 60 yards out.
The only reason we talk about Tebow and his "will to win" is because he keeps doing these things with 3 minutes left in the 4th quarter. If Tebow puts points on the board sometime in the first half, we just say he played well enough to not lose the game - instead analysts act like he's the greatest thing ever, all because he can't score before the two minute warning.
I really don't hate Tebow - I just hate the way the media covers him.

i havent seen it mentioned in a while but the only thing i have heard about that is in march, verizon will stop grandfathering unlimited data into contracts.
No all Early said was to make sure it is marked as "off topic" which most have been doing. There is no more tak about football than there has been about dogs and hamburgers and that did not get this warning. We are doing what we were told.

Wow. The video on the Nexus is horrible. The camera isn't much better.
This phone is starting to disappoint more and more. It's just not going to live up to the hype of the "best phone ever." After this excruciating wait it's kind of disappointing. I hope the battery life and voice quality don't suck too.
Basically all it has going for it is a beautiful screen and vanilla ICS.

Regardless of the reason for the continuing delay of the GN it does reach a saturation point. Different people have different tolerances to anything from pain to pleasure. I know many will argue Verizon has never "announced" a release date but from their own employees across the US, they have missed target dates.
Yes you can photoshop almost anything but the 9th was as close to a firm date as we and their employees and sellers had. When that evaporated and the 15th began coming out of VZW employees mouths, it is pretty obvious that is(was?) the new target date.
Again, I wont debate semantics but the anything but professional way VZW has handled this affair shows that what Verizon employees read to you from their VZW terminals (which has been the 15th) is not a rumor. It isn't an announcement but again, as close as VZW has come.
That said, if VZW cans another target date without justification to their customer base, they are courting financial issues long term. If you follow the stock market, notice the dip from their last blown target date. More personally important to me is what I said to begin with.
I am past the excitement, past the wow factor and have realized that it nor any other electronic item ever lives up to the hype surrounding it. I know a lot of you may say that's silly or VZW wouldn't risk such a move or whatever but remember this - NO matter how big they may be, they are made up of people.
People are petty (including me for sure) so by rationale, corporations are then petty. For me the self imposed drop dead wait of this next week is just that, self imposed. But at some point, many of you will also say "No mas" as well. It is kind of sad to think of hundreds of GN's that could have been the highlight of many of our personal Christmas' sitting in inventory never to be the flagship it was designed to be.
But sometimes life is like that. Just because we want something to be with all our emtions doesn't mean it will materialize or if it does, not in the same fashion we had envisioned. I want to be wrong but regardless of my inner geek screaming for a GN or two, some times you have to decide to move on and hope for something better to come along sooner than later.

This is getting confusing we went from hide tags only, to all OT is allowed without the use of hide tags and titles (after the vote), to please use a bold "OT" title (Early just stated this), to no OT, take it to the lounge.
I don't have a problem with any but I think if we kept one rule it might be a little easier for us doofus heads, just a suggestion.

Don't rule it out yet. We DO have updates from Google as opposed to samsung/verizon. So hopefully they will be able to improve it a little with a software update. Maybe there is even a fix for that in the ota that is supposed to roll out on release day...

I don't care, but I'm sick of hearing about him. I'm seeing more and more nutty fanaticism where he can do no wrong. I simply do not think he deserves all this attention. You said it yourself - he thanks his team. He's at the helm, his crew wins for him. Obviously he's talented. He's in the NFL. But as I said, I simply don't see his being deserving of all the attention/hype.
If you believe my dislike for him is due to his religious beliefs, you could not be more wrong. I don't care which god you worship, nor do I care how you do it. To imply that I'm a bigot simply for believing what I believe about him says a lot. I could equate it to other things, but I will stay away from politics/religion...as that always causes problems.
I'm not a hater, or a bigot, or anything you want to call me. I think Jay Cutler sucks, and he gets a ton of attention. I think Brady wouldn't be half as good as he is if he didn't have such an amazing team around him. Terrel Owens...a circus side show. An incredibly gifted athlete, but why did he get so much attention? Because of who he is OFF the field. I merely observe. If that makes me a bigot, then I'll be a bigot. But that doesn't change my opinion that Tebow gets far too much attention for mediocre performance - and I stated before, it's probably because of his religious beliefs he gets so much of it!

I'm so sorry...I feel for you, and will be praying for you. I now know how truly painful losing a pet can be, we lost our previous dog (Osker) after he was hit by a car in front of our house. He was only 1 year old, but he was like family.

no, i read it over on AC a couple weeks ago. i believe phil was in the convo about it as well, if you consider him reliable or not is up to you.
let me clarify this as best i can.... from what i read, in march verizon is not stripping away everyones unlimited plan who was grandfathered in. they are simply going to stop allowing for the grandfathering of unlimited into new contracts(like when you buy a new phone subsidized).
