Well, all I gotta say is that it better damn well be Thursday, since I've got it off and I have to be in Court on Friday.

I had a clueless sales rep but I asked him to look in the back for an all white box with verizon on it and bingo.

I only mentioned it because a lot of RS stores are just out of the loop enough to NOT know they shouldnt be telling you it's in stock.

Congrats,My mom is a 25+ years survivor.I wish you that and more. People dont realise that "No one is guaranteed a tomorrow."

Been on board since day 1 with this show on AMC, but I don't think it's underrated any more really. The secret has been out for a while I think, it's widely regarded as one of the greatest TV shows of all time. Every season has trumped the previous in my opinion...which is nearly impossible to do with such a phenemonal show.

If I had to guess on how it works, they go about as if they are releasing on the target date, but the SKU is not put into the system until they get the final go ahead from Verizon. So it will just be like it was before, and since most places are wise to the situation, I think Verizon could wait until tomorrow night to delay it again, because the default situation is no sales are possible.
 
OT:
My dad had prostate/bladder/ureter cancer back in April, had it all surgically removed, and he was taking blood tests every month to see if the cancer came back. It all came back negative, and they said he was cancer free.

Recently, he was hospitalized again for back pais and they found bone cancer in his hip/sternum/lumbar. The pathology report said it was the same bladder cancer he had before. Now he's doing radiation therapy to be followed up with chemo.

I didn't love New Caprica either. I didn't think it was awful, but my husband loved it, I definitely thought it took a nosedive after that though.

I loved the Chief and Cally, Helo (esp since we watched BSG right after finishing Dollhouse), and Anders (what can I say? I'm a girl...)

But Gaeta was my most favorite!

looking at the list of my favorite characters, I definitely don't think it's any wonder that I hated the turn it took after New Caprica. Terrible things happened to all of them!

OT BSG:
We were huge fans of BSG as well. The Miniseries was perfection and the first two seasons were absolutely great. However, like most shows that have a strong start, the show lost its way (remember Heroes?) and was pretty terrible thereafter. It ended nicely, however, but the middle was just plain dumb. New writing staff, maybe?

Another way too look at it is Verizon probably won't activate the sku's until Wed night late just so no one gets it early.

Just got off the phone with a VZW rep in Loyalty dept, he said he knew nothing about the promo. :-(

When I asked if I could do an early upgrade (I am eligible Feb. 2nd) he said they most they can play around with that is within 30 days of the upgrade.

When they went from 13 episodes per season to 20, I think they wrote a lot of filler episodes to make up the difference. I remember watching them when they aired, and the writer's strike and already long hiatus was a killer.

My confidence in a Thursday release has just increased exponentially. For the last two months, I would have been able to go in any day, first thing in the morning, and pick up the GN. Now, I have a strategy meeting Thursday at 9:00am.

I've been waiting to upgrade since the 2nd of December.. This is getting ridiculous..... I've called 3 local Verizon Stores and its like they've read how to respond from a email. "Its Been Pushed Back".... One CSR said, its actually been pushed back 2x now. I'm giving up on this week as well. If it were coming out on the 15th, I feel like they would have a)nexus in stock, and b)they'd know about it being released. They should know something by now. It just feels like Verizon doesn't want to sell this phone.
