I installed your 3.1 ctmod.
It took it five minutes for it to realize that there was a USB cord (connecting to PC)
Once it did I was fine, but then I figured out I couldn't install apparently!
What did I do wrong? XP
Anyway to fix this?
PS.. finally got that update thing to pop up after switching from 2.5 to 3.1. (Back to 2.5 and update is up again.
Edit: used cwm to revert back to earlier today. Seamed update free. But five minutes later it came up..
Wonder if it was because I moded that my phone finally pop up.. 8P

Ps. Is this something I'm forgetting to do?

Nice Rom. Did exactly what you recommend then i went and got EE14 ROOTED VERSION WITH CWM AND HROARKERNEL did the flash. Everything went smooth except mount sd card in CWM did not work kept loopin. So i got a copy hk_1_2_cwm_rev_4 slapped that one on everything worked. Then installed CTMod.

This is a speedy ROM. Asphalt 5 HD loads way faster now. Nice choice with the Zeam Launcher only 5-8mb on ram, not bad. Link2sd works on it (Excellent !!!!). All my apps work, had to grab Gallery3D and Jobmanager out the stockapps.zip:rolleyes:

I was reading post and found one with u stating that there is a simple blue/green theme but you have no apperent link, why's that?

you said you got 3.1 installed but then you say you couldn't install, install what? and fix what? gimme some info bro.

simple blue and green were themes for froyo
 
Ok it seems my bluetooth file transfer isn't working. I just noticed trying to send something to my sisters phone. It detects her phone and hers detects mine. When I click pair it sends on my phone it send her phone the message about the passkey, when she clicks it and waits nothing happens. It just gives me the option to pair all over again. When she clicks pair on hers to try to connect to mine I never get any kind of conformation at all. I also tried connecting to my laptop and had the same results except my laptop tells me "Authentication Failure" after it says that my device does not require authentication to connect

On another note. When I reboot my phone and turn on bluetooth it tries to connect me to 00:00:00:00:06:00 or some crap. And in the pop up that says when someone is trying to pair with you or whatnot, it says the passkey is "-1876839036. I went back to a fresh install of 3.1.2 to see if my settings were causing an issue but the results were the same. Suggestions?
 
Thank you so much, your ROM has whispered new life into my phone. It really is like a new faster phone now.one question though, I'm trying to put in a new boot animation and I got it to work, but it is conflicting with the Kouma Kernel logo. Can you tell me where the file for it is so I can delete it? Thank you again.

Answer for themes:
Aww man! I don't hace froyo.. xP

I thought I had mentioned it last night sorry.
Guess I was sleepy and worried.

What I can't install are apps it does the haptic feed back.
When it starts installing,
There are three vibes
It goes:
1.. 1.2 (for if the vibration timing matters.)

I tried installing the apps both from my sd card and market.

Edit: I'm gonna try and go back to stock then mod to ctmod like the post said.

edit edit: ive also forgot to mention that i deleted userdata and dalvik cache.
for if that matters.

i want to try it but i cant even installapps on my phone when i have it on.
did notice quick responses.
idk if it was because of zeam launcher (i installed launcher pro on my 2.5 to have a green theme)
 
I'm having a problem with the speakerphone being on constantly when I'm making a call. Also, the phone will not disconnect once I hit the end button. This is right after I flash with CTMod 3.1.2. Can anyone tell me the "proper" way to flash or how to go about fixing this? I LOVE the ROM, but want to work the issues out.

I ran into an issue -sort of- related to your speakerphone issue.
I try to turn on speakerphone while in the car, so I press the power button to unlock the screen, and it turns off. I have to press the power button again to get back to the call screen to then turn on speakerphone.

It's an annoyance, but I just deal with it

the kernel splash screen is built into the kernel can't be changed without modifying it

heres what new optimus said before, it might help you

Metro uses *228 to update prl and activate phones, which is very different from Boost method.
So many of the hidden menu's are going to be diffferent because of the different carrier it was designed for.

sorry man, some bluetooth devices don't like ctmod and have issues with it.

you could try a earlier version and see if it works but other then that theres not much you can do.

what kernel were you using, the one that comes with the rom or a different one?

what kernel are you using? I haven't heard of anyone having this problem before

I went back to stock rom from (gb for me)
Then I reinstalled chicken tits to 3.1

now it is installing apps again for me

Are we cool to share our own homebrew apps? I'm not too sure I want to pay google to put any app I make in their store that I'd only want to share with my prevail brothers/sisters anyways

I figured it would be fun to learn

My first idea was really for something I would use at work, but I figured if it worked I would share. and that would be what would, in all appearances be, a fronend for tftp.

For those unaware, tftp is a minimialistic version of FTP that is built into busybox for doing simple file transfers over ethernet. I was going to try doing my own implementation so busybox wasn't required. I'm familiar with the core of the protocol because I had to implement it in LabVIEW just recently. I figured it would be cool to be able to test it over wifi with my phone

Interesting idea.
I have some of my own.
Just dont know where to get the knowledge to build it.
I want to make a launcher.
But instead of a smartphone interface, it would be a dumbphone.
Thought it'd be great for those that like faster speeds but find smart phones hard to handle.

Also need to include the new language into the speech recognition to recognize grunts and groans and interpret them to go along with the dumbphone interface.

I have the same problem with the lockscreen
