I'm hoping I don't get flamed for this, as it it not specific to the Incredible, but I believe there's a little relevance here. After seeing the previous posts about an e-mail response from a VZW CSR regarding the Google Nexus One being sold and serviced in store, I went on the Nexus One site and started looking around. In regards to hardware repairs and support, the site claims that all phones are to be repaired by HTC, not Google. Is this a change since the original release? I thought Google was handling all aspects of the Nexus One. With this being the case, does it seem realistic to think that VZW will be allowed to service the phones as well? Or will the in store support simply be a matter of them flipping you to a refurbished model, while they take your broken one to be shipped to HTC for repair, after which it will go back into the refurb pool... Also, HTC isn't in the business of managing users phone data, so what do they do in the case of a phone swap? Ship the original to Google for data transfer? Just doesn't make sense to me - too many hands in the proverbial cookie jar. Not that I think any of the readers of this page are nasty

, but like a previous post regarding collection of crap in the innards of a phone stated, I don't want to be carrying around someone else's filth, just my own

. I think this lends itself to the belief the CSR was being indirect when referring to the new Google device, not the Google Nexus One explicitly. Regardless, just another reason I'm leaning to the Incredible.
