Yea that sounds like a good idea.. if someone wants to remove some gapps they can always do it themselves, in my opinion. About the name saying metropcs, sprint, boost, nextel, comcast, or whatever.. that's not a big deal to me.. who freaking cares if it says "you're gay!" if it works it works.. :D

Well.. don't get any funny ideas about editing the framework-res.apk to say that! :P

I guess technically we could change it ourselves right? using multi-apk tool correct? change it with an editor and repack/resign with the tool? or is it more complicated.. nevermind.. it is really the least of my worries.. I just want her phone to run good.. and technically it never has ran better since I tried alpha5.. I may backup her current setup now and retry beta2 once more.. unless there's a chance of another beta release today/tonight?

I managed to get Beta 2 running perfect, mostly. As for the camera, it jumps now and then but I was also on my way out the door to the sunny outside and it kinda bumped a little, other than that it was great. :)

And yeah, I don't really care that it says Metro PCS, my data works, I'm happy
 
video works .. but when i try taking a picture it freezes .. doesnt force close or anything then i click on the gallery and the picture turns white .. anyone else with this lil problem?

I have the same problem and im getting pissed with it. I need a camera its a must have for me

If you're seeing the SCH-R720 screen at all you did something wrong. Start over, and make sure you're following the directions.

And by the way, unexpectedly long? 12 days from 0 to beta2 is unexpectedly long? lol ok.

I must be getting frustrated, because the sense of entitlement coming from some of you guys is REALLY starting to irk me.

Hey dude i was not trying to be like that. Your build is clean as hell much better then my ascend port. I'm just talking about my needs in a phone (my cm7 build did not meet my own needs lol) . So far you have 95 % of this rom working. That's ****ing impressive as it is. With that in mind sorry if I sounded rude my Gf has been bitching at me about wanting to use instagram on my phone because it will not run on her ascend lol. And please I don't think I am the great one. I passed the cm project on to you for a reason.

Long as in from the other guy working on the project in general. Unforgiven. no fault of yours i add.

Long? Not at all I didn't expect you to be this far along this quick. Cm7 for ascend took months to became fully stable. requisite0 did the same in 12 days again ****ing impressive. Why do the admire forums seem so serious?

I am grateful for your hard work...and everything is workingi fine on mine including data...one question though..what do you suggest i put the network setting on..i currently h ave national roaming...CDMA- EvDO and for network i selected home only..should i put it on automatic? or affiliated

I would say leave it on automatic. Toggle airplane mode on and off to get out of roaming. Might leave it on CDMA/EvDO as well. Up to you on those, but toggle airplane mode to leave roaming
 
nice to see this is in beta now :D i just downloaded everything and about to flash it now.good job and thank you.ohhh,i surfed thru all the pages skimming..is mms working?i dont care about the glitch in camera.just need to receive the nudies from the misses while out of town :P

Ha ha, nice. Yeah, I believe MMS is fully functional, provided everything installs correctly. Camera is the only major thing, I believe :)
