Root LG Viper and the Connect

There was post that stated that the lg viper handles framework differently then the connect.

But if you guys are going to try it here's a heads up...your flashing an lg viper rom so if you are in a semi/ hard brick, to access download mode u need to hold both the power button and vol up to enter it. That's if the normal method does not work.

It's not a ROM it's a kernel....

How long was it stuck? Sometimes it can take 2 minutes to get out of that screen with ICS kernels on first boot....

I wonder if ZVG will work...that was ZVI.

Edit: I wonder if a Viper GB stock kernel will boot on this...if that will then an ICS ROM would.

nope. i just fresh downloaded it. i'm going to update the lucid thread as soon as i apply those fixes from that porting guide i found. wish me luck. heh heh.

I'm not. It would help if I had a ROM to flash along with this....even a stock ROM can be modified to flash as a custom ROM....

The errors in building the viper kernel are only because of how they add a few of their include files. It's simple to fix. The files exist, but the syntax LG used to add the include files do not agree with ubuntu.
