I'm getting a lag after a couple of hours of use... has anyone else experienced this?

I think more specifically it happens at lower battery levels...

Could be the clean cache ... I've fixed that in my development
Maybe i had a bad flash ,ill re flash again and report back but i always wipe dalvic and cache after installing kernels roms ect

Edit: still experiencing lag but awesome job actually the earlier builds of this keneral was awesome minus a few bugs , hope you pin point the issue

Merc.. you are running the dev version, with BFS,, are you getting any lag?

again.. i have not experienced it

I am? =O Oops, I guess I lost track lol I am experiencing some, but it's hard to tell if it's just my ROM / games or what. The previous one you sent me did seem a tad smoother, though.

Stupid question time... what is BFS?

Its supposed to be a bad ass CPU scheduler. But I see its causing problems. So I can disable it in config. Sad

On that note. iam going to make 3.0 development version available for download. but no BFS..
2.0 will still be up aswell

IT IS AVAILABLE NOW! POST #1

Running 3.0 and its extremly smooth even within the web browser! Also found that under the build number "alien kernel owns you" lol guess i got abducted

MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA I added a custom build.prop for optimum performance.

Its becomming more of a mod/rom than a kernel anymore.

it enables dalvik JIT
Sets dalvik cache to 64m
Tweaks the window manager
Turns on GPU Rendering
Net speed tweaks
some qualcomm specific tweaks
Call tweaks

Pretty amazing man, at this point it might as well be alien tech

Updated from 2.0 to Alien3.0SuperKernelNOBFS around 1 hour. No issues found, tested calls, texts, gps, internet (boat), cam, video, etc, all very very fast.

Speed Test on 3G: 139ms, 1848kbps, 716kbps

My SetCPU:
Main: 122-1401, smartassV2, sio, Set on Boot
Profiles:
Battery > 45C <= 20%, 122-122, powersave, pri 100
Battery > 40C <= 30%, 122-245, conservative, pri 95
Battery < 50%, 122-368, conservative, pri 50
Battery < 75%, 122-368, smartassV2, pri 49
In Call, 368-768, interactiveX, pri 45
Charging Any, 122-1516, interactiveX, pri 30

Good battery AND very fast with that settings, any suggestions?

Thanks a lot for this wonderful kernel.

well, it was originally called alien technology because the source i built it from is experimental, also meant to run CM9/CM10.
so it has newer features and updates you dont get in the mainline kernel

Interesting, i want to see how it would run on cm10or9 once it gets finished, bet its even better
