That's where your problem lies then. Even Don will tell you that if you do an advance restore, and your experiencing problems that others aren't, it's because of the advance restore.

Try a full wipe/flash and report back.
 
Flashed clean. Camera and video work now but I am missing the voice mail icon. I redownloaded and tried new clean flash and still missing voice mail icon???
 
Hey, so I finally got around to installing this. Looks great, but the resolution of some apps is weird. I understand that this is a hybrid ROM, but things like Gmail are now in two columns (labels and message list), and the text is really tiny. Settings, too. I checked PA settings, and I'm in Phone mode. Is this fixable or is it just the way things are in this ROM?
 
I also noticed that the Notification Toggles don't include one for WiMax, just Data and, weirdly, 2G. Any suggestions for a WiMax switch?

Download widgetsoid from the market. You make your own toggles and i can confirm that it does work. Although, when u turn it on, there no 4g icon in the status bar. Not a problem with the widget, its an inherent problem with aosp roms. Hope this helps.

Also, on a sidebar, I'm having problems not receiving texts. I've tried fixing permissions, replacing the apk, wiping cache/dalvik...nothing works. Had to switch back to an ics rom to get my messages. I love this rom and i really don't wanna stop using it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I think it should work. I believe 2.55 came with the 4.2. Camera though so that would put the the new one on your phone. The 2.54 pack should work though AFAIK.

Ended up restoring my ICS backup (d3rp_ICS Bareback). Phone started rebooting and then it would get stuck on the PA boot animation. Sad face.
 
A few questions is this ROM aosp based and is it deodexed? I'm asking cause I came across some mods/tweaks and those are requirements.

I had the same issue. I don't really use video so I haven't cared but yeah, it restarted my phone twice as well
 
I realized that this might have happened because I tried changing the phone UI setting -- ppl over at XDA noticed this.

That said, before I try this ROM again, is there any way to get apps to appear in normal phone layout? Gmail was in that tiny two-column layout. Wasn't sure how to fix that.

This isn't my primary phone but I use apps like text plus and viber and haven't used them for calling since flashing this ROM but I tried calls with both apps and I can't hear the other person and they can't hear me during calls yes volume is up lol nothing is muted any reason why calls wouldn't work? Keep in mind this phone isn't in service. If a log cat is needed walk me through it please. Thanks for any help guys.
 
anybody know how to get to the diag mode? mine is giving me issues your supposed to do ##3424# to get in but it's not letting me.
