***Official HTC Incredible Thread***

If they pushed the incredible back until june/july it'd be incredible = fail. By that time other phones will be launched/announced/leaked that will equal or surpass it. Then VZW will be a step behind like usual and a lot of people will be thinking like me... Time to jump ship.
 
Sorry folks, I got tired of waiting. I just went online and upgraded my Env2 to a Palm Pre Plus. The free mobile hotspot was too good for me to turn down. Never had a WebOS phone, so I don't know what I am getting into. If something ever comes out down the road worth a crap, then I will give the palm to my wife.

That guys credibility is now gone lol. From what people said here, there 2 different devices.

There's actually now a 250GB cap per month, they couldn't possibly enforce a cap, unless they are monitoring and counting each byte per account. Uhh, not to sound confrontational, but what exactly do you call 'tethering' WITHOUT a 'tethering plan'? I would say that's at a minimum, YOUR breach of contract.:rolleyes:

Sounds like you really don't know how things work. Counting bytes passing through your systems and actively inspecting packets for evidence of tethering are two very, very different things. Counting traffic is nothing new and doesn't take processing power.
 
Come on now, guys... ANYONE and their brother can be up and twittering in a matter of minutes and say whatever the hell they want to about any topic under the sun. There's a zero credibility level for most of them out there. This thread continues to be the best source on the web for new and breaking information on the Incredible, so there's really no need to get ourselves all worked up over some rogue twitterer out there.

Remember, just last week, NKT gave us a 90% chance of this thing dropping some time this month. NINETY percent!! I don't know about the rest of you, but that top-notch source and those odds are good enough for me!! :)

With that said, I have ZERO new info. The inventory reports refreshed today but it still show's 0 in the warehouse. There's no online training listed. And no other internals that point to an imminent launch (at least that I can see).

That's the report fro NKT land. I have to say, I'm starting to doubt my mid-April prediction. I hope they prove me wrong though :)

Asked the IAM if he had any news, got stonewalled....nothing. I'm going nuts here, I just want the dayum thing to come out already.

We've had a few thechies ask us too...one yesterday had this awesome conspiracy theory that Apple owned VZW and Google and was just toying with everyone.

Not really, I hate when people come with a mocking tone, knowing it all, but not explaining anything.

Another council member on the NI site had no problem explaining what they actually do, how it got started and provided a link w/info. All without patronizing anyone that posted relating to the process.

It really wasn't that hard.

Thanks for that update. I guess it's time for me to wait on Sprint for the EVO next month.

I think Verizon is probably kissing Apple's ass to get the iPhone4G on their network, hence delay delay delay on HTC device.

Actually, I'm 99% positive I remember at least one or two people on this forum stating that we should hear an announcement this week. I would try to find their posts, but this thread is ridiculously big.

I must be one of the most cynical guys on these forums :eek:

How is that these "Verizon" employees which seem to have all the "inside" information go searching the Internet in the first place for news on mobile phones just like us peasants when they will have the information well before us.

Well maybe they do it out of boredom, maybe they do it cause their so good hearted and just want to help, or maybe some are full of crap and just want to impersonate a Verizon employee to gain "thanks" and admiration.

Not accusing just speculation.

You seem to be the only one that took it this way. Did you bother to even notice or respond to his respectful reply to your trolling comment?


He was trying to demystify what they do. If he was here doing what you suggest, he wouldn't have downplayed his roll. He could have led everyone on as some big shot. He didn't do that.
