If your just going with a prevail as donor, and flashing to boost disregard my last post, thought you were trying to go to straight talk or something.
pm me and we can set up a time and a messaging client to have a real time session.

Flashing to boost is simple because many have done it with multiple phones so the info to pull off the donor is well documented.
Flashing to other carrier you will need to find out to get the info from the donor.

I have the other programs too. What I do not have is a "prevail as donor" walk through. The incognito and the rant are older than my prevail for sure. I been all over the net, no specific tut tho.


Im still looking, not givin up.... and Im cheap lol.

DWILSON48625. Read back a few pages. I've talked about using the Prevail multiple times and it has been covered on this thread. It has also been covered on the Prevail side of this forum.

The reason all the info is not put together into one solid spot that is easy to follow is to keep the fools who can do more harm than good to themselves and their phone off this thread.

Google/Search for stl5. Be careful. Many have bricked their Prevail this way. Including me.

Remember with qpst build 366 using efs explorer no need for stl5 method and no bricking
 
I may have bricked it. gonna try odin to revive.

What I did was used the terminal to do the "dd if=/dev/stl5 of=/sdcard/cdma.rfs.

once i did that, i connected to the laptop. moved (i thought) to laptop.

Then my battery died. I plugged back in and tried to fire it up, stays on samsung screen.

I still have the cdma.rfs file on the card.

So question is, I have the 465, 466, etc files opened, do i still need to revive the prevail for the nam1/nam2, or any more info?


(goin to do some reading btw a "few pages back". also, a guide would be more helpful than guessing from bits and pieces, imho)

466 has the aaa key for the incognito. profile 0 which is all you need it will reprogram the profile1 when you activate it.

the ha is always the same for all sprint/boost phones.

kind of the same question. i got the 465 465-1 466 466-1, etc etc files and phone quit (prevail)

Just kinda wondering whats my next step. I REALLY wish someone would write a prevail tut on this. They did for the rant and incognito. Gonna suck if i have to buy a new donor.


Ill even donate to someone who writes a clear, comprehensive tut for PREVAIL.(atleast include it in the original tut).

At this point, its cheaper than trying a new doner phone.


edit: part of the quote from the thread got left out. Basically, phone quit after the nv files were copied off the prevail.

Hey now I have an evo 3d rooted I had it hooked up to sprint and canceled the service. Now I also herd I can flash it to virgin mobile. I have a virgin mobile account with a pos phone any possible way to flash to virgin mobile
 
Even though both Boost and Virgin are wholly owned by Sprint Boost started out that way while Virgin was originally a 3 company partnership, because of that beginning Virgin does some seriously non standard stuff, especially with mms, you'll have a much simpler and successful port to Boost.

Any way I could get or give u my number or email I appreciateall your info and I don't mind boost I only asked virgin cause I have one here and its actavated please let me know
 
Also anyone hear about the atrix hd and being able to unlock the boot loader my bro did my evo touching pins with or on the ad slot and said it sucked I'm a engine builder and he the electronic brains but he can't Change oil and I wanna leans everything I can about androids I

yes, just pm me with a time and a message client you use, You will need a boost branded donor phone activated on boost then we can go from there.:D

I know this is kind of off topic.
I flashed my Evo to Boost, but am now looking to flash it back to Sprint.
Is there another thread that talks about that or an easy way to do it?

To flash the Sprint HTC device back to Sprint...

First you need to match the MEID of the device to what it says under the battery. Use the same procedure that you used to get it to match your donor.

Once the MEID matches the one under the sticker do a ##786# reset. Dial ##786#. Press menu and then select reset. Wait for the phone to reset, it'll turn itself off and back on. When it comes back on the phone will be ready to go back onto Sprint. The ha and the aaa would've reverted to that what was programmed to it by Sprint or whoever.

The procedure is a bit different with Samsung devices. Good luck.
 
I would like to know how I could flash an HTC Evo 4G I just purchased to Boost Mobile and use my same current boost account. I called 2 boost stores that do flashing and they said that Sprint phones cant be flashed to Boost, only to Cricket because Boost only accepts phones of their own carrier but I know some people that have flashed their sprint phones to boost. Is there any way I can flash mines to Boost for free? Can anyone tell me how to do it step by step?

I read also that I need a donor phone. I have the Blackberry curve 8530. Can I use this phone or do I need another phone. Or is there a way that I can do it without this donor phone?
 
Can this flashing method be used if I have a HP 2000 Notebook PC running Windows 8 not windows XP? I want to flash my Evo 4G and my donor phone is an incognito too..

is that windows 8 64bit or 32bit?
The incognito drivers are only 32bit and do not work on 64 bit windows.
