Root [ROM] GingerSteem Extreme for LG Esteem MS910

Black Plague it my latest version of the stock ROM. I no longer even have what this one was based on. sorry ;)
 
Help stuck in DOS screen (recovery) how do I get out of this ? Esteem zvb downloaded GSE 1.5 signed. now I have a brick

I also have a lg esteem and i bought it off someone who changed it and had the superuser app and all that jazz. well i tried to factory reset it because im going to sell it and it just keeps saying clockworkmod recovery v5.0.2.8 and i dont know how to get off of it

Please help!!!
 
I just installed this rom today using ROM Manager and ran into a couple issues. I know it's a year old so I may just be behind the curve on this.

1.) I can't install the Facebook app. It says my device is incompatible in the Google Play store.

2.) Bluetooth seems to be malfunctioning. Whenever I scan to try to pair my ear piece, I get a "Force Close" message.

3.) Whenever I try to open Social+ under Account settings to configure my social media accounts, the whole phone reboots.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

This rom is for ZVB which could explain why your having trouble.
Check this link for all roms, themes, mods, and many other things for ZVD.

I recommend Rom #2 & LD ICK theme by LDrifta

You could install #2 rom, then install gingersteem #2 theme (not gingersteem extreme) afterwards. These are both for ZVD.

my answers lol:

1 did you wipe data prior to installing? you usually need a 100% clean system when starting on a new rom.. so odds are you still have FB data and it's just so confused it wont dl LOL (if it shows up in the market than you should be able to dl it regardless of the rom)

2. bluetooth has always been an issue with this device, i forget but if this rom has a modified settings.apk than that'll explain the BT issue, so i would suggest dl'ing the BT fix on ROM 32 thread, it's a copy of pure stock/de-odex settings.apk, that may/should fix your BT issue :D

3. in the older roms we kinda 'forgot' to include the SNS.apk which is basically the social+ apk file you need :D so you can possibly grab the app from 'any' rom and it should/may fix the issue of social+

my honest opinion of all three answers is.. i dont use any of them LOL so im assuming not a lot of people cared about these features when the rom was created..

im sure PG has got enough feedback on what may need fixing in the rom, but sadly i know the man is extremely busy.. so it's not that easy for him to get on the minor issues per rom.. hopefully these suggestions help you out :D

You would use that file if stuck in bootloop using the button method to get into recovery. Glad you got it straighten out:thumbup:
