Root {DISCONTINUED}MegaTron 6.2.5 (Updated 7/13/13)

I know it's been a little while since it came out, but I installed it just the other day and I wanna say, AWESOME UPDATE, it runs so freaking smooth. Thanks for a great ROM!

The new quick panel looks interesting, does it give you an option to keep notifications as default?

Thanks, and no the new quickpanel doesnt stay on notifications tab. It stays on which tab you closed the statusbar with.

Hi guys I'm using ULTRA ROM right now this one seems cool!

Just few things....

1. Do I HAVE to do factory reset? (Will it get rid of root?)

2. Could I just do a App restore with Titanium Backup?

3. My SD card didn't have enough memory so download of actual ROM failed and won't let me re-download ):

You don't HAVE to, but it's highly recommended. It will get rid of any non-system apps, so if you downloaded a superuser app from the play store, you will lose root to some extent, but all the necessary files to regain root are installed when you flash the ROM.

2. Could I just do a App restore with Titanium Backup?
As long as you restore the apps ONLY, then yes.

3. My SD card didn't have enough memory so download of actual ROM failed and won't let me re-download ):
Unfortunately, installing the ROM from the sd card is the only method available. If you have access to a computer, you could make a copy of your sd card on the pc, wipe the sd clean, download the ROM to the card, install it, then delete the ROM and copy everything back to your sd card. Good luck. :)

hey guys, I was wondering I already have link2sd on my phone and I have a ext2 as a second partition on sdcard for it.

im on a stock rom with root and with android 2.3.4, with cwm=5.0.2.8.

I have 4gig for my ext2 partition, and was wondering if I just convert the ext2 to ext4 will that work?

this will be my 2nd custom rom, the first was putting cm7 on my kindle fire so im not that smart with this stuff.

thanks for all your help, and I appreciate all the work all ya guys/gals put into this stuff.

God Bless

You don't HAVE to convert the sd-ext unless you really want to. If you don't convert the partition, all you have to do is after you install the ROM and allow it 5 or so minutes to boot up for the first time, go straight into link2sd, recreate mount scripts, and tell it that the partition is ext2 instead of ext4.

In the instructions it says to copy everything in the sdcard to pc, and then delete certain files after there copyed on the pc side.
Then it says something about having an empty sdcard? after copying everything over to pc im I suppose to delete everying on the sdcard ? on both partitions?

I also found cwm 6.0.2.8 is it ok to install this version on the transform ultra or not not?

and also would I need an update version or just a recovery img.
If so could I use the terminal emulater?.

Im sorry for all these questions, Im just trying to make sure I understand all that needs to be done.

You need cwm 6.0.2.8. In the old cwm there is a problem with it that will brick your phone if you try to install a kernel.

This rom does install a new kernel so you NEED cwm 6.0.2.8 before you try to install this rom.

Follow the instructions to a T for the sdcard. Ext4 is the best journaling file system.(faster more stable) So, if you can, reformat to ext4 you will have better results..

Please note, if you use cwm to reformat your sd-ext. Cwm will change it to ext3. There are other measures you would need to do in order to get a true ext4. Using adb while in recovery/cwm 6.0.2.8 is the easiest way..

Do you have adb installed on your computer?

looks like I screw up my cwm, not sure what happen other than I installed newer on top of older.

I used terminal emulater and installed 5.0.2.8

then I used the same method to install 6.0.2.8

heres the method I use:
http://androidforums.com/transform-...wm-new-clockworkmod-fixed-no-2min-reboot.html
in alternate part

Code:
[HIGH]su <hit enter> dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p13 <hit enter> [/HIGH]It should return with an output of what was moved and what size the file was.
7. Then type:
Code:
[HIGH]reboot recovery [/HIGH]errrr stupid move, now it hangs on the samsung word for around 2 mins then boots normally into phone, bypassing recovery.

How do I fix this

ok thanks, I will go ahead with the megatran rom then.

before I do though im thinking of deleting everything on the sdcard and formating both the fat and ext partitions.

is it ok to do this?

Ok I got it on my phone, nice Rom.

I although dont care for the light blue colored text, as its hard to see but im sure it can be changed maybe.

still checking it out but overall I really like what I have seen and used so for.

Thks for the Rom nice work

Themes are in the work now. Plus, there maybe an update for this ROM soon. The update is still in development. Maybe the theme will change as well. I do know new features are due once the bugs are worked out. This is still the very best ROM for the transform ultra. Hands down....

yep I love it, everything I have tried so far works really good, looks even better,

If its ok could I maybe post some stuff that I would like to see in the rom?

but like I said overall this is an awesome rom.

thankyou all so much.

I hate to keep asking questions but, I cant seem to any of the removed apps on the phone.

Im trying to get the wallpaper stuff back on there, any of the stuff that has to do with any wallpaper stuff, Themes, screensaver stuff and any other stuff that it requires.

Not sure what to put back on in the first place but I did try putting this on:

Gallery3d
LiveWallpapers
LiveWallpapersPicker

I followed directions ,putting the apk's in thesystem/app folder in megatron_appinstaller.zip then putting that in the sdcard root folder.

After booting to cwm:

1.install zip from sdcard
2.Choose Zip from sdcard
3.Megatron_AppInstaller.zip
4.Yes - Install Megatron_AppIn

It says install from sdcard complete

I reboot but dont see the apps

what im I doing wrong? and are those apps everything I need?

God bless
