Root [ROM][ALPHA] CyanogenMod 10 for the LG Connect 4G MS840

Give me 5 mins and I will take the baseband from VV3 that I pulled and posted for ldrifta the other day and then I'll take PG's .zip and swap his baseband for mine and post it :D

UPDATE:
Ok for some goofy reason AF wont allow me to add my attachment so I once again had to use dropbox , but hey at least I got it posted for you guys right ;) so here you go, try and flash this and see if it shows VV3 for ya ---> (LINK)

Added this single post to ATR sticky under Radios/Basebands :)

Hey PG, is there some program or command that reads telephony info, like the ICC, network state, provisioning and such during the phone's boot up? I'm running out of ideas and after looking around a bit I can't find any info on the Android boot up process :(

Probably /system/bin/rild or its dependents.

I did that already. restored back to my vv3 backup and pulled them and swapped em out in the zip. ;)

I wonder why it wasn't working for us, thts weird. I don't know what the difference was between mine and yours but its working now so that's a plus.

this is strange its not working for me. about to just use vv3

Dunno, but it flashes the img's so they have to be there. Now it might not flash the needed info to changed the displayed version like a tot/cab does. And since I cab'd my connect to vv3 might be why it shows as vv3 on stock, cm isnt displaying baseband again (*&^&*^).

Awesome guys! I have been watching this thread and it looks like y'all are getting closer to a complete working version of this ROM! AMAZING STUFF !!

Keep up the awesome work guys, can't wait till it's finished! B-) Excited!

Hey PG:

Is there anything RIL related from an LG Motion that could be used with this CM10, or do we need something CM based/built in order to work? Does chipset matter?

--EDIT--

Can anybody tell me which RIL files we would need in particular?

Open build.prop (/system/build.prop) with a text editor.

hey pg I noticed that there was a 0.08 mb difference on the vs840 rom could it be possible that maybe theres something in the rom of ms 840 that is blocking our data from workin just a thought
