I'm having issues with which folder to stick the cwm file in to where the terminal emulator app will run what it says to type. UGH!I'm brain dead if you guys cant tell.![]()

Thank you very much! I will see how this works.
I'm not familiar with this app, but there have been a few apps that I have experienced the same symptoms with--it seems like system intensive apps-- I believe one was Open Signal, and something similar, I don't recall the name. Using No-Frills CPU Control, it doesn't apply any settings on an unsafe shutdown (I don't recall the specific nomenclature used), so I didn't really think it had to do with CPU tuning settings. I thought it might have had to do with Auto Memory Manager, which I use, so I've removed that, though it has provided a boost in battery life.
This has fixed most of the problems I've had. It's kind of the fix-all on this rom.
So far for me, changing PRL has provided negligible boost in connectivity--and usually at the expense of coverage area, or phone signal.
I'm still experimenting with it every day though, if anybody has experienced a PRL that is working well in the midwest with this phone, please advise.

If you have root and Titanium Backup, you can backup and restore Bookmarks using TB.
Not sure if it applies, but it has worked for me.
That's weird. That's one thing that has consistently worked real well for me.
Not on topic as usual but does anyone kno what page Artine gave the CPU Tuner setting instructions?
Sent from my LG-VM696 using Tapatalk 2
Artine said:CPU Settings
- Governor: smartassV2 (default in Sleipnir)
- Min Frequency: 245 MHz - Anything lower, and you're gonna have a bad time.
- Max Frequency: 1612 MHz - Maximum allowed by the kernel.
- Note: If your phone becomes unstable at a maximum frequency of 1612 MHz, try lowering the maximum frequency to the next highest, and so on and so forth, until the phone becomes stable. Though 1612 MHz is stable for many OEs, some OEs are unable to handle that high of frequency.
- Result: No lag, and supreme battery life.
- Note: If your CPU Tuner app of choice (I personally recommend No-frills CPU Control) includes I/O Scheduling, please click here for a breakdown of the I/O Scheduler. Courtesy of Dark One.
- TL;DR: Set your I/O Scheduler to noop. Courtesy of giantpune.
- Note: I/O scheduling is utterly pointless for flash-memory devices, such as Android smartphones. However, if you have to set it, noop is the best option.
path/to.file is literally the path to the file. Example: /sdcard/CWM.bin
If that's what you're having problems with. Otherwise, put it in the main folder of either your internal or external SD card, and feel free to rename it as CWM.bin as well. So, for example:
Not: /sdcard/New Folder/CWM.bin
Instead: /sdcard/CWM.bin
Alternatively: /sdcard/_ExternalSD/CWM.bin
Also keep in mind that Linux, which Android is based on, is case-sensitive. So for example "Dog.txt" versus "dog.txt" are two different files as far as Android is concerned.
CB?
Sorry if this has already been answerd, but what settings work for Wifi Tether For Root Users?
I've never had to customize it, I just hit "tether" and go. Works just fine.
Is Wifi Tether For Root Users recommended over Barnacle Tether?
I'd try "Play store on my PC or Laptop" & then move it to the phone!!!....Just a thought!!!Hey guys, sorry if I'm just blind and not seeing it.
I rooted my elite, and after some time gave it to my son. He tried to buy a movie off the Playstore but it won't download. Called customer service and the guy was able to tell that the phone was rooted. (New to me, never heard that one before) Told me that with a rooted device I can't dl pay for movies to the phone.
His explanation was that with root we can access the partition area that the store dl's the files to and share said file. Hence no pay for movies if your rooted.
Anybody know of a way around this? Other than returning the phone to stock? Maybe uninstalling updates to the store?
I tried clearing the cache and data from both the store and services framework with no luck.

That makes zero sense. You could by the movie then root the phone.I would expect they are encrypted (DRM) to your user account anyway and you can't just share the files.
BOb
Fun fact: freezing or removing the play movies app on the LG Spectrum bricks the phone
I had the same problem a few weeks ago, but found no solutions!!(SUPPORT) I made a nand b4 I installed the updated Sleipnir when I tried to restore it started to but then said something went wrong error any ideas? I had to restore an older nand![]()
