What Brand will make the next nexus?

Re comments on network tinkered Nexus devices...shambles. Nexus should be pure, Verizon specials totally missed the point.

Next Nexus...please not HTC, great build but dreadful battery life.

I get better batter life with my EVO 4g LTE than i do with the s3. And its no small margin. The difference between getting home at 75% or mid 40s

HTC used to be bad, but they've got much better of late. Plus, in a Nexus, it would be Google software, not HTC so I imagine it wouldn't really make that much of a difference (as long as they didn't put in a stupidly small battery).

I've seen their new leaks and some have proposed that, I hope not cause the speaker grill is damn ugly I think.

I doubt LG would brand the front of a Nexus. So it's def NOT a Nexus.

There's no telling what it is but it's sexy looking. :D

It looks like a Samsung Galaxy S3... or S4 rather. Not sure, I get those Galaxies mixed up. Of course without the physical home button.

Personally I would like to see another LG Nexus, as long as it doesn't look like a Samsung copy. Metal casing would be nice too.

I honestly hope it's LG again! In the last year with all the phones I've owned, I'd have to say the nexus 4 was my favorite...

And that's putting it above some pretty good company>>> HTC ONE X+, GS3, iphone 5, Note 2, and yes even more recently the HTC ONE. Yup I liked the n4 the best out of that group. The ONE is a fine phone, but I just really loved the feel and smoothness of that LG nexus 4...jeez I miss it...lol

And if the next nexus looks anything like the LG render released yesterday, then oh boy would I be excited. give me some LTE love and an awesome shooter and I'll be happy. Keep Google Glass, I want me some vanilla android nexus love google.

If it has to be LG then they need to rethink the back of the phone.

I prefer a phone without a case/cover and with materials available now, there is no reason that this shouldn't happen.

The back of my N4 has broken once and it's also too slippery.

The rest of the phone is OK, well built but the rubber surround could be a bit more premium looking without too much cost incurred.

It probably won't be glass, at least I don't think so. The American version of LG's new flagship is Samsung type plastic which I hope isn't in the cards either.

I'm hoping for some kind of Aluminum if it does end up being an LG nexus.

I love the glass and would love another glass phone. Mine hasn't broke because I haven't dropped it.

While I love a non cased phone, the bumper for the N4 seems perfect so I keep it on at all times.

I agree that I'd like aluminum as well. I do like the glass but it makes me paranoid of where I place my phone.

Do you not find the bumper stops you moving icons to the neighboring screen? Drives me mad.

To begin with I did. Apps like Google Currents is tricky too when getting to the side bar but I've gotten so used to it, I have no issues now. I basically swipe from the bumper/on to the glass and across.

So seeing that google announced the gs4 to have nexus experience do u guys think this is the google flagship for this year?

Google announced the SGS4 Nexus and it's rumored that the HTC One will also have a Nexus version. I believe this is Google's answer to Android fragmentation. Work with manufacturers to deliver the Nexus experience on their yearly flagships. If Google pushes a new version of Android and the Nexus version gets the update right away it shouldn't take nearly as long for 3rd party manufactures to update their non-nexus devices.

It might help, but it won't make a huge dent as long as carriers continue to be such a big part of the upgrade process.
