CM67- How did you keep any dust from getting on your screen while applying the Steinheil CC? My Steinheil arrived yesterday, but haven't put it on yet. I had tried using a cheap protector from Walmart last week but gave up after wasting three of them due to dust.

An old trick is to apply in the bathroom, shower on HOT, wait for steam. Never done it, but remember reading that somewhere online.

I would have to say I was just lucky but I was very careful ... I have heard of the steamy bathroom technique and they say it works well

It was either luck or they are just easier than most to apply, I have no idea since this was my first install ever of one of these protectors of any kind.

Reading through this thread is fustrating... why did the moderators merge everything into one large useless thread? I'm trying to follow the 1750 Siedio battery thread and I have to read through endless posts about Zagg, crystal clears, leather pouches, and cases.

I'd rather go through pages of threads where I can subscribe to threads I like, than go through pages of posts on one large thread where I'm forced to wade through junk I don't care about. Mods - What were you thinking? Why don't you just merge the whole forum into one large thread, that way you won't have to worry about any redundant threads.

I completely agree. Can we just get an accessories sub-forum instead?

ok a couple points:

the high gloss flexible case from Verizon fits the phone very well and looks really nice in my opinion. i will be using it until Seidio gets their cases out.

those bodyglove cases aren't my favorite. i had one for my G1 and i thought it was way too bulky (G1 is pretty bulky by itself). also, the rubberized coating started to wear away pretty quickly. it's a bit too 'rugged' looking for me as well.

invisible shields (zagg) are too sticky for a touch screen for me. my fingers would hit invisible speed bumps all the time when trying to use the phone. they also may be really hard to penetrate, but i find that they scratch really easily. because of the thickness of the material, these scratches are highly visible and quite annoying. also because of the thickness the edges can start coming up and catch tons of dirt/dust.

i'm using the G1 slipcase to shield my phone in my pocket while I wait for the SGP anti-glare protectors. I think I might try to get the Nexus One case however.

I agree. I had the body glove case and took it back and got the high gloss black silicon case. It is a great case, adds just enough girth to make the phone feel solid in my hands, and I have not dropped it yet!

I put a metal ruler across the back and up against the camera lens, and there is a a gap of maybe 1mm, maybe 2, so the glass is not rubbing against something when I lay it down unless I lay it on a very rough/bumpy surface.

Nice case :)

I wonder why it is taking so long for all the aftermarket accessory companies to jump on this phone...its the hottest phone out there now, and most of us are starving for accessories..

Yeah this was not the smartest thing to do considering there are so many DIFFERENT topics within this ONE thread. A subforum would have been more reasonable.

So it's not exactly a case, but does anyone have any feedback on leather pouches/holsters for the Incredible? Verizon has a couple of pouches listed as "compatible," but given the leeway on them, I'm not sure that means much. Anyone found something that fits the Incredible particularly well?

I saw an HTC-branded leather belt clip / holster at BB for $30, and used my barcode reader app on it. It helped me find the same case online for less than $5. It's at this link:

Here are some pictures - works great with my Dinc and silicone cover! :D

HTCpedia has it up but unavailable without an image.

HTC Droid Incredible 2150mAh Extended Battery & Door

I believe it will look and feel very similar but not sure.

I do know that it will be released around the first week of June.

So about 3 more weeks.

You can find a picture of the 2150 mAh HTC battery and bundled door here ...

(at least until they pull this from the web ... lots of details on upcoming Inc accessories sold by VZW)

Does anyone know where you can get a replacement battery cover?

Why do you ask? Well, I like to have two covers. One of them I tape velcro on to the back. WHY? Well on NJ Transit buses, if you stick velcro to the back of the seat in front of you, it will stick on. Then I can watch tv/movies on my commute into the city everyday w/o needing to hold my phone. Pair that with my bluetooth and I have my own private theatre. I did this with my omnia.

Granted, it seems like if I replace the battery cover 1x a week on and off (I only keep the velcro covered one on on during the weekdays and then take it off on weekends to maintain slimness) i may over time loosen the effectiveness of the pieces that hold it in. the omnia was much more secure of a fit that could be done over and over.

anyway, its hard to find a replacement battery cover b/c the search terms always lead you to other things!

Hear hear... this has happened to several threads I was following which are now worthless to me. :(

I have this one. I must say it is well designed with all the functions of the phone lined up perfectly with the case. I wear jeans all the time and it is difficult to get in a pocket. I don't see how someone could make a silicone case any thinner than this, it is definitely form fitting. Not sure how much thicker the rubber one is but it might be easier to slip in and out of a pocket.

Steinheil back in stock for a few. Better hurry if you're wanting some. I just got 2 packs Crystal. 1 for me 1 for brother.

Crystal - SGP Steinheil Crystal Clear for HTC Droid Incredible

AF - SGP Steinheil Anti-Fingerprint for HTC Droid Incredible

Thanks for the heads up! Just ordered my crystal :-)

New guy here... but a quick question:
What's the difference between the crystal, and the fingerprint protection??

Both offer scratch protection. The AF hides fingerprints and decreases glare, but you lose some of the screen's vibrant nature. The Crystal offers some slight fingerprint protection and preserves the quality of the display.
