*** Official Motorola Droid X Pre-Release Thread***

I will be pissed if @droidlanding is a hoax. Are we supposed to be able to get the droid x before the speculated release date? July 19th. I hope it is not a bestbuy pre-order type thing?

Good point, could be something like that but I don't think Verizon would like that. I am buying off contract so I really don't care.

Question though, if you buy a phone from Best Buy and lets say something goes wrong with it four months later, can you take it back to Verizon and have them replace it or would you have to go to Best Buy? If it is something that is covered under the warranty?

This has been the case in the past- we'll have to wait and see if VZW does something a la ATT and lets you keep the old unlimited data plan even if you get a new smartphone.. My guess is probably not... :(

Bahamas use CDMA- any Verizon phone will work there :)

VZW will handle warranty issues- if you opted for the Best Buy insurance- you would need to go through them for lost/stolen/damaged

It depends on 2 things, the number that have "escaped" of course.... but also how many people in your area are following them on twitter now. :)

I have a Incredible on Preorder but it hasn't arrived yet. WOuld it be worth $35 to use it ( and get to android platform) until X comes out??!! I was thinking of just refusing the shipment... not sure what I should do. Supposed to ship next Monday (28th)

Should have an official release date Wed. Wait until then and decide if you can hold off until the X comes out if that's the phone you want. At least that is what I would do.
