Root [1-21-13][ROM] CM10.1 for the evoLTE!!

Alarm has been fixed on the last couple of decks builds. I would assume that's made it in by now.

What were the other issues?

Choppy images, headphones aren't recognised during boot, prox sensor, refusing to wake during a call

Prox sensor has been fixed for months. Deck claims if you're still having problems its your hardware not his software.

Does anyone else have issues maintaining a wireless connection? It was working fine yesterday but today I can't get it to connect to my saved wireless for the life of me. My iPad connects without issue so it's not the network.

Maybe Wi-Fi is set to sleep after so much time of no activity.

I checked that and it's set to "Never" sleep ... unfortunately I seem to have lost all connectivity, cellular and wireless in the last 24 hours. I will occasionally get a 1x and can somehow make calls but the web, sms and mms are all toast. I might just try to flash the latest nightly and see what happens.

Edit: Unfortunately that didn't work and my MeanROM Nandroid works perfectly. Sad face for CM10, I loved the setup I had going :(

It may have been a bad download or flash. You can always try again. Probably update PRL and profile while you're still on MeanROM though.

I'll give that a shot but the odd thing was I had perfect reception for two days, both wireless and network - I even had strong LTE 75% of the time here in Chicago depending on if I was downtown or not. It just all went to crap today ... I'll be back but I just need a functional phone for the next two days :)

have you tried to just wipe dalvik cache and cache? usually that fixes most of the small issues.

I downloaded the latest nightly after running on Viper for a good long while. Before, the wifi tether wasn't working and there were other issues. Now, it all works and I couldn't be happier. It's like coming home to an old friend.

Well, I have finally flashed this. I'm on the 11/24 TD Build.

It is blazingly fast. The only issue I have is I use Bluetooth streaming music to my home receiver and if I am doing that Google Now doesn't work. After turning off bluetooth, no problem. The bottom Mic isn't picking up but the top does so not a big deal. Phone calls is great.

But, I've read most of the XDA thread and I don't remember how to access my SD card. Can I from ESfile explorer?

Thanks. Oh it runs JB quite a bit quicker than the Gnex and battery life is a lot better.

Your sd card is still accessible from a file explorer. I'm not on it right now so I dont know the exact path but its there :)

Depending on your explorer there might me a shared path that branches to internal and external. I use file expert. So on mine I have storage/ sdcard which for some reason leads to internal storage and phone internal storage from which I can navigate to either internal or my 32gb extSD

Hey guys -- I pop my head back in here every once in a while to see where the status of the Evo 4G is at.

I've been waiting to flash to CM10 for it to reach a level of daily driver, and I know in the past few months it's been getting there, but that things like: the camera, clock, bluetooth, LTE (?), and others have still be sticky points.

The most recent stuff I've read is that there is an official stable release for almost a month now and subsequent nightlies. Can I get everyone's opinion on whether CM10 is pretty much good to go as a daily driver, and recommendations on which version (a particular nightly? stable?) to install? Many, many thanks in advance.

I've actually been running the stable build with zero problems whatsoever. I haven't gotten any force closes, everything is buttery smooth.

I also flashed the 4.2 camera/gallery and keyboard. The camera/gallery app is a lot better -- no more side cutoff in the camera and there are TONS of photo editing options in the gallery. The keyboard has a "swype" input feature, which has been hit-or-miss with me so far.

The LTE issues that I'm having aren't CM10-related. I'm having issues with LTE on Sense ROMs as well. After searching for the issue, it seems it's strictly a hardware flaw in the LTEvo. I'm running the latest radios, FWIW.

The stable CM10 build is actually even smoother than my Nexus 7 tablet. I switched back to a Sense build to update my radios, and can never go back!

I just switched back to Viper because I was having 4G and wifi connectivity issues with CM10, unfortunately. It's so close to being perfect, though.

All you can do is nandroid, flash it, and see if its right for you.

There is still quite a bit of variability in a sample of people in what bugs you'll see. Even between builds.

I was (and still am) having possible radio issues while on CM10. I flashed back to a Sense ROM and the issues remain. It might not be an issue related to CM10. Once I get my radio stuff straight, I'll be back to CM10 in no-time. :D
