Update: z4root is now available here and is a better option than visionary for us since it is geared toward all phones and not just the G2.

Its made by Paul OBrien of Modaco for the G2 and has a bunch of options for rerooting on boot and that type of thing but just ignore those options. It works fine on the DX. I tried it the other day when I had to sbf.

Yes. Double-rooting is the new rooting.

So... how long is this supposed to take? I clicked root now and got the yellow sign icon saying "rooting device, please wait..." The red circle was spinning in the corner while it was going, now it has stopped frozen and the sign is still there. It's been a few minutes now...

edit: pulled the battery and phone is back to normal now...guess it got hung up during the process or something.

I'm so greatful for this app! Just before I saw this thread I checked my text messages. Well it seems I'd missed a text yesterday that said that everyone who got it and forwarded it to 10 of their friends would win the lottery, but if you ignored it your whole family would die!!! So I hurrried up, double rooted my phone, traveled back in time and sent that text out to 10 of my friends...... whew!

Now my family is safe from getting slaughtered, and I'm sitting at home just waiting on my lottery ticket to come up a winner. Thanks OMJ!

I did and it worked as far as I can tell but no way to be sure.... except SBFing back to stock and running it again. I'll let you know how it turns out
