2.2 Software fix update coming...

Good information. Glad to see they are addressing these issues. "Random re-boots" has become a regular occurrence for me as of late with at least 1 or 2 daily.
 
I am going to move this to the main DroidX section so more people will hopefully see it. If anybody disagrees let me know.

Sadly it doesn't list the two biggest issues I have had which are the SMS time stamp and the double lock screen where you have to swipe unlock before entering pattern lock.
 
I'm assuming the fix won't apply to my phone because I'm running a root theme?

I had the double lock screen issue for a while. I was running flyx final on leaked 2.3.9

I changed ROMs and themes a few times and the double lock scenario went away.

I noticed the fix when I changed to RubiX Blurry... based on 2.3.15 (I think) with Gala X theme and problem solved. Not sure if its the ROM or the leak version, or simply from re flashing.

In any case problem is solved for me....

Let's hope this will be covered by:
"It is not intended to be a complete list at this time -- there are many more fixes and improvements in the works"

Doesn't matter if you're rooted, but if running a custom rom or not the same version as OTA, that would make a difference.
 
could we just flash to 2.3.15 or even 2.3.13 and do a update check for the ota as long as the phone is on odex?
 
I'm gonna start checking every thirty minutes for it now... and make a new thread stating it's STILL not out yet every time I do!

Seriously though, I know for some folks this will be quite welcome.

So by "some circumstances", they mean almost every time you try to access the battery manager? I get the FC at least 75% of the time I try to access it, so I'm looking forward to this update.
 
I will be afraid to update since mine has been perfect. :)

But this, from that post, is a lie;

"At this time I don't have information about when the next software update will be available -- when I have it, I'll share it here."

When have they EVER been forthright about an update? :P
 
O M G !!!!!!! I hope this will finally fix my constant connect/disconnect WiFi problem. At home I only get like 1G signal and I need my WiFi.
