So, are you that devoted to fission? I've never tried it. Although I did read the fission thread you guys had going for awhile and was about to try it out when I came across the 3.4.2 update. I guess I could just maderstcok back to 340 and give it a shot. It's not like I mess with my phone too much.

Lol, I'm pretty sure we all have an app or two that we paid for but don't ever use. Oh well, we are supporting the platform right?
fiision:
i dont know, i was on it for a long time. then tried some other stuff....like liberty alright. seems like i just keep going back to fission.
install method:
i dont mind taking a long time to install and set up clean/fresh....so not using any backups it takes a while to install. like i just tried 3.4.2 and there were some things i didnt care for or didnt feel like messing with so i just flashed back to fission. i wiped cache, data, battery, delvick; went back in to android and did a factory reset in settings/privacy, did a reboot; then just for fun went in to factory recovery and wiped cache, factory reset (and formatted my sd card). now im putting my stuff back on.
-- i dont think all that is necessary; just how i like to do it.
i really like this 261 version of fission, but i guess ive liked most. seems like 257 was ok too.
-----------------------
on topic i tried out 342 and it did seem to runs smooth. started to remove bloat with titanium and played around flip through screens and adding widgets and such. it didnt seem like it ran any smoother then fission 261 was (but then i realize i may be biased, of course).
i had 342, deodex, the oc zip,
i noticed whenever i went in to rummy oc it rebooted the phone each time. that was the only real issue i noticed.
really seemed o.k. to me, but nothing that blew my mind.
ON THE OTHER HAND; realistically, i should have run it for at least a day or so more and may flash it again some time.
i guess i just didnt feel like it was doing anything amazing (as stock with bloat out) that i was gonna stay stock. went ahead and flashed fission back on for now.
CERTAINLY worth trying if you are having any isses with a custom rom and worth me trying for a longer period again. also if your already running it from the little i played with it; if you have your phone like you want it and its working good, i doubt its worth going through the trouble of flashing over to a custom rom unless you just want to.
im really interested to see what developers make out of this and ready to try any releases from a noteworthy source.
i assume im still on the newer kernal though ive flashed to fission?
