Root About to throw my Evo @ a wall...

Forgot to mention the glass cut me too, the glass is separating on the bottom of the phone... I called the executive line and I have someone trying to get me a different phone, should know more tomorrow.
 
I bet if you really pushed the issue, you could get more than an upgraded phone :cool:. "Escalated" would be an understatement.
 
Got the 3rd replacement Evo today and the damn thing wont even turn on! Tried the battery they sent which looks like someone kicked down a dirt road and tossed in a lake and I tried my original battery and it didn't work either. Plus the charging port would not let me connect my usb cable either almost like there is something stuck and the glass is not even connected to the phone in the lower left corner.

I really don't know who is in charge of these replacement but this is ridiculous. The guy I am working with is super cool and he said we had to try the normal procedure first then he would get it escalated to get me a 3D or similar. He is going to be calling me Monday and hopefully will have some better news and if not I will see what my options are from there.

I'll keep you guys posted!
 
Wow I am thanking my lucky stars that when my Evo had to be replaced last summer, it was in perfect working order. The screen is ever so slightly separated in the bottom right corner where it clicks just a little bit if I push on it, but it's never gotten any worse in my time with the phone so I never bothered complaining about it.

That stinks man. Hopefully if they hook you up with a 3D, it will be in perfect working order. Should be nice to play with the upgraded Evo for awhile. This wouldn't count towards a contract renewal would it? When are you upgrade eligible?
 
Fortunately, when my EVO got the death boot, I knew a Sprint employee that wanted to get rid of his. Near mint condition :-)
