Root [ACS] Shabbykernel RC1

Thanks, I don't know enough about ODIN to be sure if I could get away with 1) putting boot.img into a tar by itself and 2) uploading just that file as a PDA.tar and have the other files in that area remain unaffected

Last question though, i swear :)

do I pick apply update, or install zip in CWM?

Shabbypenguin and the Android Creative Syndicate..

are blah blah blah :P

look situation is still teh same, we still cant get source to compile and boot, but rather then have yall waiting in the dark, imma throw out my latest test kernel. it should flash in cwm without any issues (no you shouldnt have to mount anything either ;) )

features:

init.d support
All teh features of test kernel 1 (killing logmein backdoor, adb on boot with root, and there was something else but i dont remember. sorry...)

with this you should be able to get darktremors apps2sd script working so that you can use those fancy ext partitions everyone has been creating.

if i get the time ill try to work on porting over the battery tweak on my github

nothing super fancy about this kernel, just mostly letting people flash via cwm and init.d support, which if yall look online you can find all sorts of goodies for. my personal recommendation, i wanna say its v6 supercharger ram optimization script ;)

linux peoples i know you still dont have cwm and im trying to figure out on how to get it for yall so that you can get the cwm goodness without having to use virtual box

lemme know how it fairs for yall :)

moses sorry it took me so long to post it :P

noob question. but how do i install it. can i flash the zip through cwm

i got a2sd working with hroark's but how does your init.d work?
hroark's uses S##script but those scripts don't run with your kernel.
i've tried removing the S but still no good.

do you use script manager to run it at boot?
i can't get the script to run

i've now put it in as both S00mount and 00mount and it will not run.
i can mount manually, just not with script

ShabbyRC1 does init.d differenlt than my kernel's init.d

Mine requires S and a two digit number in the begining of file name

I am not sure what Shabby's requires

I dont think script manager uses init.d, but I am not sure

No I use script manager to run as root, but not at boot.

when I ran v6 after I manually made a init.d folder and put in /etc, v6 then made a S99SuperCharger script file which then runs at boot.

However before I manually made the init.d it did not make or run at boot.
