Root [ALPHA] ICS for Optimus M (NOW COMPILED AND BOOTING)

yeah i downlaoded the lg optimus s ics rom and i took the files and from system/etc/usr and put them into this rom for lg optimus m and it wont boot i think it might be the signing tool i have i barley touched any files now it wont boot dont worry bout me i got nandroids

......u do not have to sign.....find a zip that has already been signed or any rom, delete everything inside, add files into it with winrar or 7zip and then flash.
this method works the best for me

pretty sure the files are in the boot.img. I'm going to bed, though. I'll check for updates in the morning..

im back to gingerbread for now when i get home from school i will port. i have dsi xda kitchen but cwm doesnt read update script even if i decline convert to update script in the kitchen. but a method of importing the files into the rom i simpy used ddms from android sdk tools and used file manager to push file its useful cuz it gives a log cat

A list of things that need to be added to the I.c.s optimus M build remember I'm building for the C some files can be taking from a working 2.3 from but may cause instability
We can take files from other ics roms that were intended for LG optimus phones
The * icon is essential for porting it to the C

- network indicator
-basic icons
- charge while phone is off
- *touch screen drivers for M and C
-more wireless and network options
- *cricket build prop files to get service with cricket
- keyboard which can be downloaded from market but how are we to navigate to it. So we adb push the keyboard
- camera files
- ril
-audio
-firmware folder
-wifi folder
- wl folder
-SD card placeholder
- testing.apk dial *#*#4636#*#* to see what I mean
-more ics sandwich stock apps
- gapps 4.0
-import to rom manager if possible
-maybe a radio.img but it may be inside boot.img
- SD ext cabaility
- play store spoof( ics apps may be hidden due to our prosessor just sayin)
- *Bluetooth files
- soft keys led MENU,HOME,RETURN,SEARCH
-accurate touch screen LCD density edit in build prop
- respect the dev and keep name and fingerprint
- * change ms690 to lw690
-* metropcs operator to Cricket
I will add more play around with the above but I tried some mostly but it doesn't want to boot. Please add things I may left out

I'm pretty sure I know how to fix the touchscreen drivers, but I need to compile it from source, and my source code for ICS (CM9 specifically) is at my moms house, so I won't be able to finish until like monday. o:

Those paths are in the source code. The source code paths are very different from the android you're probably used to. You need a version of linux to download the source code. I would recommend Ubuntu 10.04. Follow this guide to set up Ubuntu and download the source.

Yea bro I have dual boot windows 7/and latest ubunto
I got to redownload the roms I got the full android environment set up in it

ok im inside linux im downloading the the roms do i need 7-zip im downloading it anyway but linux can open any android file at that right now im bout insert the files -init.thunderc.rc- and sbin/chargerlogo to get offline charging if that works ill be one happy dude

I really wish tripdoc would have put everything on github.. that would have made things a lot easier.. :P

Before I try this can anyone let me know what's not working?

Signal
Data
MMS
WIFI
BLUETOOTH
GPS
SD Card is unreadable
Touch screen is not calibrated
Pretty much should not be used as a daily driver....hence the fact this is still in ALPHA.

The optimus v has a working ics rom, couldn't it be ported and the touchscreen work?

Not until we get a working kernel....which is what tripdoc was working on but never finished, also no the drivers for wifi and signal are different and I don't know where it's located....the whole filesystem is different than gingerbread which is why it wouldnt work to port
