Root Awesome Android Update 4 Released

Rom runs smooth as butter now and manages memory much better then before. On another note, this device will never see less then 300mb of used ram. Which is a good thing contrary to popular belief. When more ram is used that means apps have been cached speeding up launch and making the rom much smoother. This is the way ICS works, Android doesn't manage ram like a PC free ram is wasted ram as far as android is concerned.

EDIT: Side note everyone will be notified Via a push notification once the update is mirrored
 
running much better shinru2004, Thanks!!! I do however, second the motion to remove google now. It seems to be significantly slower than standard voice actions and I am a speaker. Send text to _, navigate to _, set alarm for _....I feel like my android friend is sick...or maybe she just doesn't care :(

I got the update from the preinstalled goo manager. When I rebooted my phone it gave me a notification and I clicked on it and chose download update. It downloaded to the goomanager folder on my sdcard :)

Once the update is downloaded, reboot into recovery, wipe cache partition, go to advanced, wipe dalvik cache, go back to main menu and install zip from sdcard. Navigate to goomanager folder, choose the update and flash :)
 
look at the blue bar just above the text you are reading. You will see #112, that is the post number. Scroll your browser up to get to the ones that say #106 and #107

edit: no question is a stupid question unless you already know the answer :)

once the updates are flashed you no longer need the zip files. Only flash the update2 file.
 
I am not certain if update2 has all the same files as the first update...so I am not sure if you need to flash the first update before the second on a fresh rom install. shinru2004 will have to comment on that.

Robertech, that's not good.
Shin rom uses a mod or different framework than stock and I'm not sure if system UI is also different.

You gonna have to re-flash the rom or maybe shin can tell us if it's safe like it is right now, or maybe it's OK if reflashing the updates again will fix it.

just asking cause i flashed the rom with out update one only with update 2 and goomanager was gone when i flashed both update and goomanager came back
 
I made a backup just before I tested it but it looks ok to me. I'm fairly certain the system ui in this rom is the stock ui apk
 
Sorry for being "that guy" but I'm lost (or maybe just an idiot). I ran the DoomLord "runme.bat" and all I get it "daemon not started...starting daemon....daemon started successfully" and that is it...nothing reboots (regardless of how long I leave it) nothing else happens. My PC Device Manager recognizes Android Phone with ZTE ABD INTERFACE under the ANDROID PHONE. BusyboxInstaller says "your device is rooted" yet fails to install...RootChecker says my device does not have root access. So I am guessing I am not rooted. UGH. Sorry Again and Thanks for tolerating me.
 
I just noticed that I've had several voicemails but didn't get an notification. May you please add the voicemail app with your next update?
