I spent the day with some buds down at the cabin. I missed all of the ball today. So... Boston lost.. Royals lost.. Twins lost.. Guardians lost.. Padres lost.. who won today??? anybody win???

Lost the game and series to Detroit.
I'd talk about the Royals but can't think of anything nice to say.
The Royals have lost their mojo.. no doubt about it. They have lost their last seven games and have only put up nine runs in the last five games. They are currently hosting the two teams in the ALC that are ahead of them. They lost two to the Guardians and could be swept with a loss tomorrow. They then host the Twins. The schedule is perfect to rise up but we are settling to the bottom instead. I'm sad all over.

I saw that they lost another Clem... so sorry. The Royals managed to avoid being swept at home by the Guardians tonight. We are off tomorrow then host the Twins for three games. It is another opportunity that we will likely blow.
Sometimes blackouts aren't a bad thing, I couldn't watch the games and am sort of glad.
I get it. Watching the Royals lately was simply depressing.

I did see that Boston won tonight. The Royals beat the Twins in their series opener at home. The game wasn't on TV. The games haven't been blacked out so I don't get it. At least we won.
The Royals put up 4 in the bottom of the 8th to beat the Twins 4-2. I doubt they get the sweep tomorrow but it's fun to have it to root for. Speaking of rooting, Boston is winning now that you aren't in their corner, Clem.

Tonight's game was going well then it wasn't but it ended up OK, it's never easy!
The Royals got the sweep against the Twins! That puts them 2.5 games behind the Guardians and 2.5 games up on the Twins. There is a lot of baseball left. Plenty of time to shuffle the deck again. The Royals travel to NY to play the yanks. I hope to at least win a game there.
Boston went off on Baltimore woot woot! The Royals lost to the yanks as expected. We actually had the lead a couple of times but then they tore us a new one. They put up seven unanswered runs in the late innings to win 10-4.

Baltimore beat Boston tonight... booo. The Guardians and the Twins won tonight. The Royals needed to win tonight just to not lose ground. The Royals win removed the possibility of being swept by the yanks. That's all I hoped for and more than I expected.
It's the little things that count...

I missed seeing the games. Congrats on the win Clem. When my company left I turned on the plex just in time to see the Royals last out in the top of the 11th and the yanks score in the bottom. At least we gave them a run for the series win. I'll take the loss in the 11th at their house.

I'd leave likes a dozen times if I could. Beating the yanks is reason to celebrate! The Royal beat the Pirates today. Now I have to root against the Guardians and the Twins. It's not my nature to hope for losses from my foes but it's getting close to crunch time and the Royals need help. Trailing the Guardians two games.... I don't see them picking those up.
The Guardians won dog gone it. The Twins are getting smoked. At least the Royals kept pace with Cleveland.
