Root Beats Audio

I guess my question is: How do I know if it installed correctly or if its working?

you will notice the difference when you are plugged in. the base is deeper and louder. you will not notice on your phone's speakers. i notice it when i'm in my car and i have it plugged in to my audio in port on my car stereo. it is not a program that you run. it is just a software that runs in the background.

I honestly don't notice much of a difference, but my music collection consists mostly of 70-80's classic rock and not the rap that beats was designed for.

EDIT: Just played "Sexy and I know it" (hey it was googles free song of the day one day, so i grabbed it) and I def notice the song sounds crisper and overall better.

well don't know if it will do me much good then I'm not a rap listener. 60's,70's,80's,90's rock and classic rock, and todays best country.

It happened! And 2001 as well. Maybe some Eminem later this week.

And for what it's worth, I was listening to Boston this afternoon, and it could completely be placebo, but I swear the bass is more pronounced now. Not like overdone or anything, just a solid improvement in the sound level IMHO. So I think it's noticeable no matter what type of music you're listening to.

im trying to get ahold of the one thats for all android versions... Saw it on XDA a few days ago and didnt get a chance to download it... Now i cant find it anymore.
Can anyone confirm that this works on ICS?

Edit: nevermind, that post was on Phandroid... It had a link but XDA is down...

Same here minus the country, but I would imagine any kind of audio improvement would be nice to have. Plus this might make me dust off The Chronic this week.

A lot of the country today sounds like the Rock from yesterday. And lets face it Miranda Lamber is just super Hot. I'll be there when mr Blake screws it up. Yeah I'm going to help him screw it up and then be there to catch her as she falls oh yeah Miranda will be mine (MMMMUUUuaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh) :D:p:D:p

Sorry went a bit crazy. Try zac brown they are souther rock with a country title.

I think system still needs to be mounted. It flew through the installation with it unmounted.

This question might be considered by most as common knowledge but, what do you mean system mounted or unmounted....?

Edit: is that where you go into root explorer under /system and mount as r/w or r/o?
If it is, I feel stupid now

No Mike this is done in recovery. Go to mount and mount the /system partition. Then go and flash beats after the flash go back and unmount system part

Yes most updter-scripts mount the required partitions but if the dev didnt do it right you'll have to do it manually.
