Best DUAL SIM android phone?

hi everybody......i just ordered a Jiayu G3 phone and expecting delivery on 10 or 11th.......I would be happy to provide feedback on this phone once i get it and till then i hope somebody helps me in gathering information on how to root the phone...The seller does not have rooting services and i am sure it will be with filled up with chinese apps and without google.

i just got my jiayu g3 delivered to me.....my first reaction is that the device is much lighter than i anticipated and also the battery claim of 2750mah seems to be a fraud.....drains out much quicker and also gets charged pretty quickly with the supplied 500mA , 5V charger.....

overall the build quality is good and the screen is very sharp and very clear....The phone came with Google installed so i don't have much need to root it at the moment....

One more thing...can anyone tell me how to find out if the screen is protected with gorilla glass ??? It looks like plastic to me and there is no way it can crack a walnut ....

I just bought a Huawei U8950D, directly from China,
dual core 1.2GHz snapdragon. Works very well, 4.5" and good battery life (2 days).
Official ROM can be replaced, multilingual ROM is available with all Chinese apps removed!

OK guys and girls I hope you'll be able to help me with some smart advice here. :)
I'm looking for dual (standby) SIM 3G Android telephone, which will not break my budget. That means I'm looking for something in the range up to $100 including shipping (to USA). What I found so far on eBay is:

- Dash Blue D130 or D170
- Cubot (with 3.5" screen)
- Some noname brand: Unlocked Dual Sim 3G Mobile GPS WiFi Cell Phone Google Android Market Smartphone | eBay
- Another one with Android 4: Unlocked 3 5 Dual Sim GSM Mobile Capacitive Android Phone 3G WiFi White T Mobile | eBay
- or something like this: 2 3 Android 3 G Smartphone with MTK6573 4 0 inch WVGA Screen Dual Sim White | eBay

All in all, I don't need anything fancy, GPS would be nice but can live without it, definitely not analogue TV reception, but reliable phone that works decently under $100. If you have any other proposal or suggestion for a online shop that does deliver to USA, be free to suggest. Thanks a lot in advance.

I would suggest you to stay away from 'noname' chinese clone phones....At your budget i would suggest you to buy Lenovo A60+ have a look here

I suggested A60+ based on your budget limit.... if you can increase you budget a bit, then there are much better phones from Lenovo, ,like the A789, From Huawei there is U8836D which are much better options.... I am currently using Jiayu G3 and very happy with the performance till now

Hy All!

I'm looking for a Dual Sim phone. I currently have a HTC Desire, so i want the new one at least with the same hardware (1ghz,512mb ram,Wifi,gps,etc). Don't want to Root it, or play games on it, only browsing with 3G and WiFi, and listen to music 6-8 Hours a day, so it would be nice enough to charge only once a day. I live in Hungary, and what i can get for the desire is like 130$, so i can spend circa 200$ on the new one. What do you suggest?
(Sorry if my english was bad)
Thx!

OK, let's say I raise the bar to $150 with shipping :) I've just visited aliexpress.com site and in that price range I can easily fit in Lenovo A750, A780 or even A789. So, what would be best buy in up to $150 range, and I really don't want to go beyond that.

i would suggest you Lenovo P700i. It has very big battery and it would suit you perfectly.

I think Lenovo A789 is best suited for you. It is $139 in etotalk but you need to pay a bit extra for shipping. You might also want to check the prices in merimobiles.com.

I would go for the A789 - it has a dual core cpu that is pretty good. I'v had the A750 and it is great, the A789 is the same only with a better cpu, so I would go for that.

And what do you think about ZTE v970, UMI X1, Jiayu G3, THL W3+, or Amoi N821? As far as i could get with the searching in one day, these phones seems to be the best choices (All the same cpu,gpu, lenovo p700 only has 512mb ram?).
Umi x1 with HD IPS and ~190$ price looks good, but there is Jiayu G3 with Gorilla Glass and 2750mAh battery, but little too big and +~30$. THL W3 only has TFT, as p700 only has 512mb of ram.

To be honest, which one for ~190$ ZTE v970 or Umi X1?

Thx again!:)

I suggested Lenovo P700i because your major use was internet over Wifi and music....for those functions you need as big a battery as possible and P700i has 2500mah.

In between ZTE V970 and UMI, i would choose ZTE...but having said that but why don't you have a look at Lenovo P770 ? This is one heck of a phone for $299. It has 3500mah battery :D and is from a well known brand.

Well, my luck with the Zopo 500 (single core) has run out. The phone crapped itself already, bought it in September. I can't be bothered to sort out warranty from China, so I got a Samsung Galaxy S Duos, that in September was unavailable in Oz.

Hope other Zopo users have better luck.

Lenovo is too expensive for me :( but it seem awesome.
Now my mind is around the Jiayu G3 again. It's 204$ with shipping+case+card rader+touch pen. HD IPS display, dual core, 2750mAh battery, gorilla glass 2,... what do you think about it?

I am currently using the Jiayu G3 phone since one month....and till now no problems with it at all....It is pretty good phone and the best thing about it is the graphics and screen resolution of 326dpi.

I would say, go for it !!

What a relief, thx! :) Should i choose the black or the iron-silver?

Currently looking at 2 SIM phones: HTC Desire V ($275) and Samsung Galaxy S Duos ($325). Specs appear to be more or less similar on both. From my research, the HTC Desire V appears to be dual standby. However, I can't figure out if the Galaxy S Duos is also dual standby or if it's dual active. If it's dual active, I think I'd be willing to shell the extra $50 for the Galaxy. If not, I'd just stick to the Desire.

P.S.
Another phone I'm considering is the Sony Xperia Tipo Dual ($145). However, I'm seeing conflicting statements on whether it supports dual standby or not. Does anyone here know? Thanks!

The Sony is single stand-by, you need to switch to receive calls. I haven't used the HTC, but replaced my Zopo 500 with the Samsung S Duos. VERY happy with the Duos, the touchwiz interface suits me well and the phone does everything I need from it, plus the screen is awesome.

If you carrier's frequency range is supported, the Duos is probably the best dual sim right now.

I am sorry to go a bit off topic

how would you rate this

its a 4" android with 4.03 and a MTK6515 chipset 1ghz

Ebay item number 230903384070

i just need a phone for sms , some skype text , and MP3 player and basic web browsing and a few basic apps like kik , ebay etc

currently ive got a samsung galaxy nexus but i just want to try one of these cheapies as im afraid i will lose my current phone when i go out i always leave it home

It seems as if the Chinese can cover there tracks and every review is great lol

The Dual Sim Galaxy Note 2...
Rather unfortunately, The big problem of this phone is that it comes without google services( gmail, play, YouTube)

Problem? Quite the contrary. It's best to not get factory apps.

When an Android comes from the factory with an app installed, the user loses control, and is forced to keep the app at the cost of precious internal storage. These apps cannot be removed.

I'm glad you pointed this out about the Galaxy, because I'm looking for DSFA phone that has as few compulsory factory-installed garbage apps as possible.

Are there any other DSFA phones out there that do not have:
* gmail
* facebook
* youtube
* play
* other similar permanent craplets
?
