Accessories Best Incredible [Full] Screen Protector

I've tried almost every single one. hated them all. I use a case on the phone and make sure I keep it in a pocket by itself...I no longer deal with a screen protector.

What are you all protecting your screen from, exactly? Do you keep your keys in your pocket with your phone or something?

my clairvue is all scratched up after only a few weeks. I keep it in a pocket without anything but my phone ( i wear a lot of cargo shorts, pants..:)) I dont know how it gets scratched, but in the words of joe dirt's father "it just does".

I will however bite on the boxwave covers. I did a bit of reading and it apprears that they let more light in than most of the anti-glares. So i will take the $15 pepsi challenge and see if it makes a difference. 2 different verizon cases, before my seidio case, stock protectors, clairvues and now the boxwaves...i have like $100 in accesories...

I need to get another hobby, like drinking exotic expensive beer or something...

I've had zagg's and other expensive screen protectors. Last week I ordered some from some cheap website and got 3 protectors for 3 bucks. It is just as good as every other "quality" screen protector I've seen for almost nothing. I'm almost convinced that it's a scam and companies sell their same products at different price points just to make sure they cover the entire market. Really, the difference in screen protectors is almost nothing. I keep my phone in my pocket and have noticed no scratching or peeling.

Edit: I was wrong, they were 5 bucks :P but I did have a coupon!! http://www.handhelditems.com/droid-incredible-screen-protector-3packs-p-134316.html

30% off with coupon code "30htcoff"

Also their cases are crap but the car charger worked great!

I would recommend Phantom Skinz to anyone. I haven't tried any other ones but also haven't had the need. Theyre a little time consuming to apply, but are definitely worth the hassle after this.

The feel is great (swype works great with this), and any scratches or marks 'heal' themselves after a period of time.

I use the black verizon silicon case, and my only gripe is that if i have to take off the case and put it back on, two of the corners of the phantom skinz protector will form bubbles. This is not that big of a deal though as they can easily be 'ironed out' with a credit card or something similar.

I first tried zaag and then I tried phantomskinz. The zagg worked well but it did have a rubbery feel. The phantomskinz does seem slicker with the same quality as the zagg. I also use the verizon black silicon case and had the same problem with the edges. What I did was turn the case inside out and sanded the edges all the way around the case with sand paper. It took about 10 minutes and now the case doesn't interfere with the screen protector.

Conclusively by my own opinion mainly due to me liking it and being the only one I've tried, the Zagg Shield. It's heavy-duty tough and super clear. It does have a unique feel but I think once you adjust and let go of your feelings it's not bad at all. I do suggest you sample one if at all possible (ask your friends or see if your BestBuy has an example phone/demo) before you buy, in case you can't let go of your feelings...

I've tried the Zagg, Wrapsol and the Skinomi. I would say the Skinomi is the best. Very little orange peel, not sticky and goes on nicely. You can find discount codes out there so it will cost less than $9.

I've always gone naked with all my phones, never even a case or holster on the old ones. But with Grandmaster's know it all attitude (JK GMB) I'm thinking of getting a Crystal Clear. But the real question is for those that have always gone naked and then put on a CC. Can you notice the difference? Don't bullshit here, I want honesty. If you can tell the difference at all or even just a little.

I will admit I have *never* gone naked so maybe there's some mystical Garden of Eden of nakedness that I am missing.... but Ill never chance it to find out. :P

I will say that with the boxwave cc most of the time you can't even tell there's a screen protector on it. The same cannot be said for the Boxwave anti-glare.

Been rocking the bestskinsever screen protector for a couple of weeks now and can say they are a great value ( 7 bucks shipped for full frontal coverage) and less Orange peel than a zagg fme, and crystal clear with no real fingerprint issues.

One thing about the Zagg, it keeps a slight texture once it's all finished. So if you're expecting a glass-like smooth cover, this won't be for you. Reason being is it helps with fingerprints.

That said, it feels better than the plain glass (to me), and is invisible when the phone's actually turned on.

so you are saying that anti-glares are crap? i read elsewhere and on this site, that they let more light in (less blur) than the others...i am guessing you think not? i am sick of spending money trying to find one that i like!!

I am rocking the Clairvue antiglare on my incredible now. i like it, and i get two for steinheil's one....

I also went for the Clairvue Anti-glare, however, I am not happy with it. It VERY noticeably blurs the screen, not just a little, A LOT. Even just looking at a white screen you can tell there's something on there as the screen looks pixelated and speckled (for lack of a better term). It also is cut too small for my taste leaving about 1 to 2mm (side to side) around the edges exposed and a little more than that top to bottom. Plus, as was mentioned before, the optical trackpad is a u shaped cutout instead of an exact cutout.

I thought anti-glare would be the way to go, but I think I'll be trying something else.

I tried the Boxwave Anti-Glare on my Touch Pro 2 for a couples of weeks and really hated it. The protector features a matte finish to provide the anti-glare anti-fingerprint characteristics and as a result creates a semi-blurry somewhat dimmer display. I like the Crystal Clear because they feature 99% optical clarity and it truly is crystal clear.

How does the Boxwave hold up against scratches?

How does the Boxwave hold up against scratches?

Really really well. I have used alot of different protectors and for a hard static protector it holds up really well. My past Verizon, WriteShields, WriteGaurds etc all have scratched really easy, within the first week. I had a BoxWave CC on my Motorola Droid and it was damn near scratch free when I sold it 7 months later. There were few light scratches but they hold up way better than any of the previous protectors I have used.

im using verizon screen protectors. While they are probably crappy, they are holding up and doing the job. am about 6 days in and no problems

yea...i notice this as well. i thought it was just the way "all" anti-glares are. however, it apprears others (some posts mention the boxwaves) let more light out of the screen giving less haze. I need an anti-glare. I am outside a lot with sports and coaching, and the INC is unbearable without one. zero screen visablity without the antiglare in sunlight. let me know if you find one that is better than the other!

which one holds up best against scratches? screen protectors should protect the screen too..

What?!? What are you smoking? :D

From what I've read in these forums, it sounds like Zagg and PhantomSkinz are probably the most durable, but those are both wet applications, and not everyone is crazy about them.

I used a DLO Screen Shield on my iPod Touch for about a year and it was great. It had a nice balance of clarity, anti-glare/fingerprint resistance, and it was a static application. But DLO only makes apple accessories.

They are all honestly about the same. I went with Clarivue because they give you two for the price of one and have a lifetime warranty.

I have a zagg on my itouch and unlike some protectors that scratch the zagg does not. So I'd say they all aren't the same. I did buy a Best Screen this time and I have to say they sure don't waste money on packaging, which is probably why, even though they use the same stuff, they are half the price of zagg's . It came on two little sheets in a letter in a normal envelope I thought it was junk mail.

On a side note I watched a video of someone trying to scratch the non scratch screen and it looks pretty tough on it's own. He took a knife to it, and several other item, and it was fine. Although I saw a Zagg video that took a small grinding wheel to the zagg on an iphone and it was fine. Not sure the naked screen could handle that though. So if your going to have a grinding wheel in your pocket better go Zagg

Yup, and the screen only is 5.99. IIRC, buy 2 and shipping is 1.00, buy 3 and shipping is free

The *best* screen protector is whichever one meets your needs. Expecting a consensus or a conclusive answer here is a bit silly.

Also, there is no *best* phone, whiskey, car or whatever else you are considering buying. We all have different habits and tastes.

Wow, that makes sense

I should find one that best suits my needs. And having not tried a particular product, there's no reason for me to ask what other's experience has been? Because of course, here on this earth, there is no need to learn from others?

I guess this whole idea of discussion forums is useless. :(
