What are you all protecting your screen from, exactly? Do you keep your keys in your pocket with your phone or something?
I would recommend Phantom Skinz to anyone. I haven't tried any other ones but also haven't had the need. Theyre a little time consuming to apply, but are definitely worth the hassle after this.
The feel is great (swype works great with this), and any scratches or marks 'heal' themselves after a period of time.
I use the black verizon silicon case, and my only gripe is that if i have to take off the case and put it back on, two of the corners of the phantom skinz protector will form bubbles. This is not that big of a deal though as they can easily be 'ironed out' with a credit card or something similar.
I've always gone naked with all my phones, never even a case or holster on the old ones. But with Grandmaster's know it all attitude (JK GMB) I'm thinking of getting a Crystal Clear. But the real question is for those that have always gone naked and then put on a CC. Can you notice the difference? Don't bullshit here, I want honesty. If you can tell the difference at all or even just a little.
I will admit I have *never* gone naked so maybe there's some mystical Garden of Eden of nakedness that I am missing.... but Ill never chance it to find out.![]()
I will say that with the boxwave cc most of the time you can't even tell there's a screen protector on it. The same cannot be said for the Boxwave anti-glare.
I am rocking the Clairvue antiglare on my incredible now. i like it, and i get two for steinheil's one....

so you are saying that anti-glares are crap? i read elsewhere and on this site, that they let more light in (less blur) than the others...i am guessing you think not? i am sick of spending money trying to find one that i like!!
I tried the Boxwave Anti-Glare on my Touch Pro 2 for a couples of weeks and really hated it. The protector features a matte finish to provide the anti-glare anti-fingerprint characteristics and as a result creates a semi-blurry somewhat dimmer display. I like the Crystal Clear because they feature 99% optical clarity and it truly is crystal clear.
How does the Boxwave hold up against scratches?
I also went for the Clairvue Anti-glare, however, I am not happy with it. It VERY noticeably blurs the screen, not just a little, A LOT. Even just looking at a white screen you can tell there's something on there as the screen looks pixelated and speckled (for lack of a better term). It also is cut too small for my taste leaving about 1 to 2mm (side to side) around the edges exposed and a little more than that top to bottom. Plus, as was mentioned before, the optical trackpad is a u shaped cutout instead of an exact cutout.
I thought anti-glare would be the way to go, but I think I'll be trying something else.
let me know if you find one that is better than the other!
which one holds up best against scratches? screen protectors should protect the screen too..
Steinheil Crystal Clear
/close thread, seriously
They are all honestly about the same. I went with Clarivue because they give you two for the price of one and have a lifetime warranty.
Been rocking the bestskinsever screen protector for a couple of weeks now and can say they are a great value ( 7 bucks shipped for full frontal coverage) and less Orange peel than a zagg fme, and crystal clear with no real fingerprint issues.
The *best* screen protector is whichever one meets your needs. Expecting a consensus or a conclusive answer here is a bit silly.
Also, there is no *best* phone, whiskey, car or whatever else you are considering buying. We all have different habits and tastes.
