Wow - comparatively quiet around here for the last couple of days. All the complainers must have moved to MIUI. ;)

MIUI is pure awesome. So many features that CM7 does not have. Not sure why a lot of you are hating on it though. But whatever, to each h/h own.

I'm not hating on it at all. I just don't think it is my cup of tea as they say. I didn't get much time to play with it because I worked most of the weekend but I might restore my backup this weekend and give it a proper run.

Not being able to install swype easily was one thing that bugged me.
 
Anyone complaining should not be allowed to use any of the 2nd int ROMs. If it was not for CVPCS getting this figured out we would not have any of these running. I anyone thinks he would give up on something he has working after 10 months to get it this far has to be nuts.

That being said I have jumped on MIUI to give it a try and I really do like it. It takes some time to understand everything and I am still learning, but I like the feel of it. Not that CM7 is bad at all. I am just grateful to CVPCS for getting the 2nd int figured out so we can get all these new ROMs on our phones.

Also huge thanks to all the developers that did what they could to get us this far as well. The X is a great piece of hardware and the software just keeps getting better. Anyone complaining should have to go back to stock Eclair!!!!
 
I was on MIUI for the past few days and am so glad to be back to CM7. MIUI was solid and had lots to play with, don't get me wrong, it's a great ROM; just too much going on there for me.

This may sound trivial and doesn't affect the functionality of the actual ROM at all, but the Chinese writing within the theme manager was very annoying. Plus I really missed my "SIMPLE" JAMT FLAT BLACK theme and had to go back.
 
2nd full day on update #38. Unplugged the charger @ 8:00 am, still @ 50% charge at 9:30 pm. Regular usage today, yesterday was a heavy use day for me and was at 40% by this time. I think the battery is getting better with "settling in" time.
 
So basically, these nightlies we've been installing have had absolutely no work done on them? LOL!!!!! I'm glad he provided an update and he really does AMAZING work - I just kinda wish I knew he was gone though!

No work for the X specifically. Code is still being changed for CM itself.

Jeez, I hope you're kidding. We run a democracy here, not a dictatorship.. Yes, even with my being a mod, I relish a democracy. I try roms, I appreciate some, and not others. Personally, I like to try roms so I can advise others. I also like to complain, my right. :D

Honestly from what I've read I don't know if that will ever happen. depends on how much the devs want to push it but hasn't 720p been a bitch across all AOSP roms?

I'm not saying it won't happen but, you know....

Also, stop making excuses to stick with gingerblur. :eek: lol
 
Couple questions:

1. Does BT work on CM7? I can't get my BT paired in my car reliably on MIUI, other than that, I love the rom (using LPP).

2. Can I flash CM7 coming directly from MIUI? If yes, do I just flash the latest nightly build? Wipe Data and Cache, or not needed?

It worked for me on CM7. On the other hand, it also works for me in MIUI...

You can flash CM7 directly. Wipe data + cache.
