Root [BETA]Cyanogen!! Landed!!! :) Go get it![Updated 7/12/2011]

#6 installed.
Camera and Netflix still a no go.
GPS still works.

My NETWORK LOCATION seems to be partially fixed,
Its working on My-Cast Weather.
Just RE-downloaded Beautiful Widgets....giving it a go, will report back soon.

Time to reflash that zip from earlier tonight that fixes them.
Not an official fix, but fix nonetheless :D ;) ;p

Do you have the flashable zip? Can you post it?

I have access to the individual files, but couldn't dl the zip as i was not a member of the otehr forum.

6 seems to break GPS

I did not do this zip, the OG fix itself was done by xraytedjim, zip done by P3Droid.
PROPS to them and mydroidworld.com

Boot into CWR and install OR install from Rom Manager. You know the drill.
The zip above fixes:
Camera
Netflix
Youtube
Video Decoding
Quadrant
This does not fix the camcorder.

Ok, so with Netflix...
If you still get the "this device has been deactivated etc" popup when you try and launch Netflix,
Simply clear Netflix's cache, then its data.
Restart Netflix, RE-enter your Netflix credentials...
Then get busy enjoying Netflix on CM4DX.

Navigation AND Maps both worked on 1st try using Nightly #6.

this same "fix" fixes video decoding and you can now use youtube and netflix, and quadrant works too.

so we are talking hardware decoding? stock media apps work and such??

Navigation AND Maps both worked on 1st try using Nightly #6.

the real question isn't Navi and Maps anymore...its coarse network location....things like weather updates in Beautiful Widgets for example...WITHOUT forcing GPS for geolocation...

I only report in Navigation and Maps still due to people still having issues with them.
And since these Nightlies are all beta status, a feature that works on build#4, can end up being broken on a later Nightly build#
Theres no real way of knowing for sure until it has been pushed out to the public for further testing etc.
and people report in.

As for the My Network Location, I got that working with My-Cast Weather.
Just went and REdownloaded Beautiful Widgets.
Configuring and testing...

It APPEARS I have gotten Beautiful Widgets working as well.
It took some SERIOUS configuring.
I will only know for sure when I go mobile tomorrow...
I will be driving through several different cities.

Good night to all.
......Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.......

*EDIT* As I was driving today, I noticed that Network Location still appeared to be broken. :(
Never fear, @CVPCS announced on twitter this evening that Network Location along with some other fixes should be fixed now. (Fingers crossed for Nightly 7)

I put the fix in the op two hours ago, FYI. You're on the ball there bro. ( Steven runs)

Here's an updated link to OG thread. Included is CWR flashable zip.

Camera Fix for CM7 FOUND!

Sign In, then download

CWR-CM4DX-camerafix.zip

Its above the two attached files in the 1st post by xraytedjim.

Thanks again to him for this fix to get us all by,
and thanks to P3Droid for the CWR flashable zip :D

Now I'm reaaaally calling it a night. (5am Ugh)

Link added to OP. Someone remind me to take it out when it gets rolled into the next nightly.

Noted. I expect this to be put into the next nightly.

I doubt this will get rolled into a nightly, it's Motorola's code and hence not legal for CM to include in the build. Going to have to wait for a proper fix to be found.

BTW, random observation, now that Quadrant works w/ the video fixes, I get crazy Quadrant scores - 2100, 2300. It doesn't seem to be skipping any of the tests like the Stagefright mod caused, but the database writes - which are usually a pretty long step - go very quickly.

I don't put much stock in benchmarks, just an observation.

WOW! Today is Tues, this development is moving along great! Im HOPING that within a month everything will be functional. Great job guys! Keep up the good work!

Quadrant score after the camera fix. Pretty good. Now for that cell standby issue.

So after upgrading to nightly #6 and applying the camera fix it looks like everything is working but the camcorder and the network locations (tried it on two weather programs that should find my location on a map using the network location and they both come back with no location).

Do people really think there is an issue with the cell standby, or do they think the battery stats are reporting wrong? I personally feel it is the battery stats reporting wrong and any time the phone is sleeping all battery use is being reported as cell standby. I have tweetdeck on with 15 minute updates. I went a whole day with out checking tweetdeck and it showed no usage, however I had 286 updates that were pulled. My battery life seems to be as good, if not a little better now that stock Gingerbread with all the bloat (that could be) removed. So battery life to me does not seem that bad. Now if there is an issue I will be very happy when it is fixed because that means I will be getting great battery life then.

My battery life is distinctly worse than GB. It's not awful, I still get through the whole day easily, but I am absolutely down ~20% past where I normally am at the end of the day.

I've tried a wipe and reinstall but it did not help. Still not bad, just noticeable.

Are you running Droid Overclocking? I only ask because I was when I first jumped over and I had about the same experience as you. I uninstalled and my battery life got much better.

No, I haven't overclocked anything except to experiment way back with FroYo.
