How did Mr. Bobo make his rom flashable from stock? I think it'd be a cool feature to have? :o

He used Test-Keys to sign his ROM.
 
on a side note, I was thinking about what Blackhalo was saying about the hiddenmu.apk being incompatible with the public dialer and thats why it does not work on the pmi_b07... However the pmi_b07 dialer is part of the unification portal and hiddenmenu still works on those roms... plus in this alpha, we're using the boost mobile b10 dialer... see where I'm going with this... Your thoughts?
 
I think there's a high possibility of it working! worth a shot I guess, what's the worst that could happen if it doesn't?

no hidden menu doesn't work but Jim modified the settings apk to include some of its features... but I'm just brainstorming on why it doesn't work and i can't accept the answer of the dialer because it doesn't make sense to me...
 
Maybe a reverse portal? Like replace whatever is in the pm portal with boosts equal file and flash it in?

I know I'm on to something, I just can't really explain it...

thats already what we're doing... ;) just a little bit at a time.... the only thing left in this rom that is purely pmib07 is the framework folder... :p

I've thought that also. I did have to do some editing to get hidden menu to work so it shouldnt create any issues, but pulling it out is worth a shot. I'm almost 100% sure its the mms.apk that needs to be edited since gosms is reported to eork

Maybe if we decompile the app we can see how it's getting it to work? I know it has root access if you give it to the app, maybe root access can be given as a temporary fix?
 
Got a message a minute ago, something like...
mobile_mms or mms_connection lost. Thought you oughta know. Wad just on my home screen when it happened. Also, benchmarks are still as good as before. 7.7k

Yeah, that's about when they updated to some new kind of underlying structure, and many things in already-existing projects needed re-decompiled to work properly.

Thanks for that info, I was wondering why re-de-compile worked after I deleted my solution and redid everything the same way...

And maybe I could make a theme for stock rom with that info... :D

It looks nice and sleek, but I use the clock app from CTmod on my phone, more features and it has a nice miui interface :)
 
I'm in the middle of a remodel that had not planned on. Ill hack away at the apk as soon as I get a chance. Thanks to vartans efforts Im pretty sure we have it narrowed down to that. Just put of curiosity has anyone tried the pmi mms.apk?
 
The problem is the apn settings... its getting set up but not implemented....i doubt settings is the answer but id like to have a firm answer on my last tester... as far as pmi mms, it doesn't use apns or has its own set of apns preconfigured into it... so if settings is a bust, maybe using a modifed version of the pmi mms with preconfigured boost apns could work... at which point we revert back to 3.1 without vdmc...

just tried it it's really nice ... kind of like LMT launcher... skinny you tried "dock 4 droid"... you want to try "dock4droid"...I'll pop it in and we'll see if it makes the final cut...

EDIT: Quite impressed with the size of the app(424kb) and it doesn't seem to drain battery either...
