Root [Boost Mobile] Let's Start A Team ROM!?

And welcome to the party Blyss...:)

Thank you!

On 3.5 my wifi speed is the same as on ctmod, 6 megabits down and half a megabit up. I cant test 3g as i dont have phone service. Anything else you want checked on this or any other version?

Btw whatever this keyboard is i dont like it at all... just my opinion.

Edit: i tested the wifi speed both with speedtest and an actual download

Also I Just changed the cpu from the default to max 1.8 ghz, smartassv2, sio. But the cpu is staying locked at 1.8gHz, I double checked with setcpu and it confirms the governor is smartassv2 but you can see under time in state that it's never dropping from 1.8, I'm gonna reboot and see if that fixes it.

After rebooting the cpu governor is now behaving as it's supposed to.I don't know why it stuck at max. The Rom defaults to performance and changing it didn't work until reboot. Also this Rom boots wicked fast!

For some reason in antutu my class 10 sd card read is between 2 and 4 megabytes per second(write is between 8 and 12)... but in sd tools read is 29-31...wasn't like that on ctmod...weird...I modified sd read ahead kb from the default 1024 to 2048 but it madE no difference in antutu. Btw is 1024 the optimal value for read ahead kb? I know it's not for my class 10 card but maybe it is for more common cards? Just wondering.

odd that your download speeds were perfectly fine...I had a really considerable increase in speed by backtracing. We're disregarding the alpha 3.2-3.5 for testing, since they didn't solve a problem with the receiving of mms's. Might as well flash 3.1. Any luck smartman and jim? Also, merc! Did you know about the light blue borders on the alliance boot screen?

also, i'm not trying to push you guys or anything, just curious how it's coming along! ^^

Me neither... I'm in this all the way! :)

Same here, I'm not giving up just yet on theming this...

however, I may have found a half-fix... I can theme it like I do with some system apps that I always seem to have trouble compiling (like settings apk), what I would do is turn the apk into a zip, extract a copy, edit the extracted folder, and then drop the icons into the zip and convert back to apk, but it MIGHT have drawbacks, like it may end up not being UoT compatible, or you may not be able to decompile it and recompile it properly...

Until I can work on the fix, I found something in strings.xml that is of VERY much interest to me... I'm gonna change up some of the dialogues to look like Jelly Bean... for those of you that saw Jelly Bean on the warp, when you experienced a force close, it didn't say "The process com.insert.the-name-of.the-process-that-stoppped-here has stopped working. Please try again.", it just kept it sweet and simple. I read the google developer page and got tons of ideas for both Halo rom which I'm now working on, and for this rom. Here's the link to what I mean...

well I tore into both the Settings apk and Mms. Played around with Apnsconf and still no go. Pretty soon we should have a comprehensive list of what the issue isnt lol

maybe it's in phone.apk or telephonyprovider.apk that the apn is hard coded in on the pmi version..

EDIT: it has to be the mms.apk that is hard coded with apn settings. Because in ctmod, due to the extensive moding, I canot port over the phone, contact, contactprovider and telephonyprovider apks. the only apk ported over for the ctmod "Unification Portal" is mms.apk and along with apns-conf.xml picture messages work perfectly... so the mms.apk has to have some kind of hard coding for mms messages...

hey I'm looking at this:

http://www.zte.com.cn/mobile/uaprof/ZTE-N860PMI.xml

it's at the bottom of the mms_config.xml in the system\etc\custom_config\app\mms\ folder on the pmi b07 rom. you can also find it in the unification portal zips.. And I'm just wondering if such a complex mms setting can be configured through the custom config folder then couldn't we edit that xml file to use the apn settings in ".Apn.Settings" ?

Not that I theme a lot, but when I change graphics only I usually extract a copy of the appropriate drawable folder with 7Zip from the APK, then open the same APK as an archive in 7Zip. I modify the graphics I want, then drop the whole folder back into the open archive and 7Zip handles the rest. Hasn't not worked yet! :)

You guys are gods. Just sayin'. If only the government worked as quickly, efficiently and as well together as you guys. Next time you have something fresh to test I'm all over it!

I don't use 7zip anymore, I never really liked it, and I also used to have winrar but it started having errors after a while
