Root [Boost Mobile] Let's Start A Team ROM!?

As I'm really just starting to learn, I don't quite understand the purpose of odexing... I understand the point of deodexing, but why would you want to odex a custom rom? On first boot it would build dalvik quicker, correct? But subsequent boots shouldn't really matter... Hopefully some of the pros can share a lil knowledge ;) Thanks!

From what I know deodexing makes system apps load slower

Faster boot times in general, Also gives better performance in not only system apps but in memory performance.

So, am I correct in thinking deodexing in custom ROMS is probably to make it easier to modify system files without breaking stuff?

Cyanoid Screenshots: Antutu

Performance Deadline and Smartassv2 SIO...not too much of a difference honestly. I had 4, but one screenshot is corrupt and I don't feel like fixing it. Both scored about 7600 and about 7400. Class 2 2gb sd card.

Special request! Would it be possible to implement texts and calls over wifi in the alliance rom? That would make this phone 30726629462910 times more worth having for dozens if not hundreds of people!

Like SIP callng?

I guess it would be something like that. I know there are tons of apps that do what I'm talking about, but they all either:

-require both parties to have the app
or
-assign you a different number

Like...is there a way to use wifi rather than 3g to send the texts and calls from the same number we have from our providers? It sounds like it would be a mess figuring out though...

AH it's something known as UMA I believe. not sure if the phones are UMA ready, but maybe it's possible?

I use GV Phone, it does a great job for Wi-Fi calling :D texts work well too

I use groove ip for calls and pinger for texts. Groove ip uses your Google voice account which will be tied to a unique number, but you can make that number ring any other phone you own too. A cell phone a landline or what have you. And you can make it show one of those phones numbers as your number when you make outgoing calls I THINK. Pinger assigns you your own number, but they're service hadn't been pleasing me lately, like taking thirty minutes to get texts on Wi-Fi. The only problem with groove ip is there is a half second lag between when you speak and your recipient hears you. And vice versa. Both are free though, so you can try then no risk.

I know what they do, I've tried all of them, but Groove IP always was the best until I started using GV Phone. It works great, zero lag and great voice quality, its one of the newer GV ones, the best one out there so far :D I HIGHLY recommend you try it out if you're not satisfied with any of the other ones :D

Hey! On AA 3.1, i've noticed that the 3G data is very finicky and 9/10 times doesn't allow for web browsing and downloading. Could mms be linked to that in some way or another?
