try alpha 1 and see but i siriously doubt it... When you say the 3g data is flimsy, you mean it gies to 1x?

I know, I'm not criticizing or anything, don't get me wrong. Basically, I was wondering if there is a link between the 3G data usage for browsing and stuff and the MMS. I know that I can very rarely, if ever, get the forums app to work on the 3G of alpha 3.1, let alone browser activity. The first thing I tried was a different browser, boat browser to be exact. I guess I'll test alpha 3.5_ds_netframe after 3.1. Sorry if I seem pushy :/
 
well, same problems on alpha 1. Maybe it's just the cell towers in my area or something..

Edit: wifi works perfectly, 3g works for browsing on 3.5_ds_netframe, just had to turn wifi on then off again.

No problem. Didn't intend to be snippy. Mms is a very frustrating issue
 
I've noticed a small issue using 3.1, not sure if it's me or the Rom but it didn't happen on ctmod. After some random time, a few hours to a day, Wi-Fi goes silly. It will show as on and scanning but when I go to look at networks it says mine isn't in range. Even though I'm a few feet from it. Toggling Wi-Fi off then on fixes it.

Wish I could test the 3g for you guys.

Edit: btw I just posted this from the emergency room Wi-Fi lol, not doing so well. Such is my life.

Ha things are never blissful. At best they are okay. Today and yesterday were the product of my own stupidity. Most of my troubles are. I have good intelligence but zero common sense lol. But the problem is solved, at least for now. My convoluted life... you wouldn't believe it. People I've talked to actually accuse me of making it up. And I'm getting way off topic again so...

The problem I mentioned above only happens if data is transferring, like a download for instance. Also I have another Wi-Fi problem, but it happens on any Rom. Occasionally it will just quit working but still show connected in my status bar. Toggling Wi-Fi fixes it sometimes, but sometimes I have to reboot. I had this problem in ctmod too so I'm sure this latter problem is my network. But the former is unique to this Rom. It's not a major issue though, just kinda annoying to leave a big download going and wake up and is only half done because the Wi-Fi went phooey. Just thought I'd let you know is all, MMS is more pressing I'm sure.

Sounds like you need the rant thread in the AF lounge... you can vent there, I've gone there a few times and always felt better afterwards :)

Lol I think I would get frustrated trying to do that and typing with Swype. On a computer it's a different story though... 100 + wpm. Every post you see from me here is from my phone. I'm pretty good with Swype. Probably 40-50 wpm. But it's not good for ranting.

I used to play FFXI online and you have a chat history. People used to look at their history for hours back and 90 percent of it starts with (Blyss). Which is where my name came from btw. It was my characters name.

But enough off topic-ness. I'll be good now! Seriously though, I'm okay for a while.

Hey man, I'll test it first thing tomorrow! Sorry, I feel like I've also been dropping the ball lately, but at the same time it's crunch season for everyone and I can see that here with Lilbit, Blyss, Jim, halo, skinny and plenty of others in this thread alone... Working on getting an internship that starts monday, while simultaneously attempting to collect 19k for college tuition :|. Anyway, I'll let you know how it goes!

Edit: Although, since it's PMI, won't this not work for anyone on Boost? Ahhhh, I'll test it anyway. What the heck.
 
Alright, I was finally able to do SystemUI.apk... sorta. Anmire, here is the zip you need to download, extract, and test whenever you have time. Others can try it out as well, I figure since everyone else is posting the Alphas to test here I should do the same with this theme. This isn't the completed version of SystemUI though ;)Ninjamorph ONLY

Your right it won't work...I dug up an old thread that answered my question...don't worry about this one :-)
 
I looked through the contents of the theme zip and it looks good so far. I noticed you've got the 4g LTE icon on the 3g lol. Anyway so far it's nice without being over done. Good work!

Thanks! In all honesty I could've just thrown in all the icons into the proper apks and be done with it, but some icons would've been left out and there would be more icons than necessary, so I'm trying to keep this clean and slim. I don't like releasing something unfinished or something I didn't actually try on.
I do wish I had started with SystemUI to begin with, it was only 3 pngs that had to be changed to .9's... and all this time I've been working on Framework-res... blah stupid brain :p

Thanks LilBit! I might change it up a little though to make it match a bit more with the signal bars, but then again I might not...

Crap it only indicates 97 pngs... there's 100 more missing in that package, I'll have to remake the zip. Give me a few...

EDIT: Only took me a few seconds lol here's all 197 SystemUI icons, remember ninjamorph only for now... https://copy.com/S7QEZ37ISAIu
Please let me know if you experience any issues, the .9.png's can act up on some roms and make it go totally unstable, never been able to figure out why...

I was wondering where a lot of stuff was, I just figured you hadn't done those ones yet. Now with everything it's really nice. Excellent job, I love the soft blue colors. I can't afford to crash my phone by modifying systemui right this minute, so all I did was look at the files. I'll backup my own theme later and then try stuff out to see if it plays nice.

EDIT: They look really awesome. Very smooth, nice shade of blue. 4G LTE for 3G? hahaha Nice flashlight icon as well!

Awesome, now I can do framework-res with a bit more security :D
Since those are the two most important theming apks, and most of the rom isn't ready for theming anyway, I can relax a bit more, phew...
If we're including a music app, I have one thats themed from Gingerbread that I've used in some of my other themes, if y'all like...
