Not really the reinstall that gets to me its the having to redownload everything.... right now I have Lubuntu as a place holder of sorts dual booting on my laptop, but I really want Mint (its faster than other distros imo and it has a better desktop oriented feel--I was able to find my way around faster than I could on Ubuntu). Dm has a kernel for linux that speeds up build times too, so I need to redownload that after I get Mint. I need to get some of the preinstalled packages out of there though, because I uninstalled Libreoffice (comes with Mint) and that alone freed up nearly 272 MB. Hence why I kinda need another hard drive for my desktop, so I can dedicate the entire thing to Mint and I don't have to worry about space and I can learn bigger and better things
After I redownload mint and try to remove some of the packages, install the Java jdk, and Android kitchen for Linux, I'll be back in action unless something decides to get in the way again -___-
