Are running both of those at the same time? And why does my voltage control say MHz instead of ghz? Ghz are way larger than MHz
 
Yea am good w wifi being an app instead might actually mak hings a lil more convienent consideringit could just go on ppls home screen for easy access!!??
 
Damn almost got it working....
It was working then my signal bars went from blue to gray indicating the company has something to do with this too. Still doesn't explain why it wont work properly...

Dslack420 the reason I wanna get it working properly is because Settings offers both wifi and USB tether. The app only offers wifi and its shockingly slow. Actually not shocking... its Boost :P
An app will have to do for now though. Easy access isnt really as important as tethering options so I can't leave it there forever.
 
ok so could that mean that there is a permission script missing or not wrote right??? bc if i remember right u can pay boos an extra ten bucks a month and they will unlock ur teather correct??? i could b wrong tho but i have faith ull figure it out!!!!!


and as far as the app goes i used to have one that worked well on noob but have had no need to teather since getting "the net" ill look at old backups and reinstall c if it also works but both wifi and usb worked w it.
 
Yeah sorry... still feeling the after effects of midterms -__- really tired from all those tests and assignments :/ On the bright side I have monday off so I can set my computer up to build the rom and have it ready on monday probably :) I still need to reinstall Virtuous Ten Studio...

Is Wi-Fi tethering showing active for you but non functional? Or are you getting errors?
 
It shows active but non-functional. There is an occasional error but I can never recreate it to be able to logcat it. The other device shows that there's a connection to my Warp, but that the warp has no connection to the internet. It almost worked once when my laptop began to load Google.com, but then I saw my phones signal indicator change to white so something fishy is going on and blocking the phone from connecting. I don't think other roms have this issue though I remember something similar happened in CTmod

So... what is the first version that has tethering built in? I would imagine this was added with Jim's modifications to wifiservices.smali? I have copies back to 4.46 - Just don't remember when it was implemented...

Edit... Guess what I am asking is what is the first version it worked properly and what version did it stop. I really wish you had a detailed changelog or a git...

I tried to keep the change log detailed and git just never worked for me. But I do have when I added tether in the change log... from what others have said, HB6 is the last version to have it functional. I doubt the apns have anything to do with it, huh?

I don't think the APNs would be an issue but anything is possible... If MMS works, I wouldn't think the APNs would be the issue. I've been comparing smali files and haven't found it yet... but I'm still looking... As far as a detailed changelog I mean if you kept notes of what mods were done to which files by version - not just features, but the actual mods so we can track down what broke and when...

On a lighter note, stuff like this is helping me learn the file system better :) This week I'm starting Linux From Scratch (thanks DM for the tip) which hopefully will let me learn more about dependencies and structure...
 
So if others say it worked in 6, are we safe to assume it broke in 6.2? Which sprint apks did you remove in 6 or 6.2?

Everything is so damn easy to break on the Warp specifically with Wi-Fi... I compared the settings from both HB9 and the one from HB6 using Virtuous Ten Studio... not many differences aside from theme changes. But even reverting them doesn't fix it. No changes in smali either... so it has to be framework.jar or something else...

You should ask dm to add you to Team Osiris on GroupMe, you'd learn alot from seeing what they do on there. I have, even more than just Android and also a bit more about computers in general really :D

Its not something I removed, because after adding everything back in nothing would work... so it must be some code that was added thats causing the problem. Thing is, I'm not exactly sure where... I need to keep a really updated and detailed changelog, sometimes I forget what changes I make as I'm going through the rom :/

dunno if this will help but on warp oem if i used 3g/4g optimizer and ran the 3g tweak it would break it just would uninstall tweak to get back working .
 
I cannot download halobean 8or9 to my n860 warp, but I can send it to the " copy " website. But don't understand how to retrieve from that site...any suggestion's ?

are u trying to use ur phone to download if so u need to b on wifi or the file data will get courrupted do to the ustable connection of g-band data if ur on a pc or laptop try a diff browser
 
I was on phone...now I do not have internet on PC,unless I tether it through my phone with planet. So using my Pc that way would I be able to d/l it ?
 
Skinny, you need dropbox or devhost LOL

Forum says I can't attach a pic, needs to be 640x0 and I need to manually resize it - but hit me up - copy isn't helping you... I'll mirror it on my servers if needed... Chrome is blocking downloads from Copy...

No, you should at least have a connection to a cable modem or something... tethering your 3g is the same as downloading by mobile data. Find someplace with wifi to download...
