If you lock your phone and forget your password to your google account and your phone, you can use adb commands to unlock it. So I always leave it on.

Good question. I am a power user and if it does use resources, I would like to know myself.:) Skinny? Help us out!!:p

I'm a *long* way from being a power user, but somehow have needed it a couple of times lately. I just have an ADP app. Do you & SJ have it through SDK? :p

Edit: just saw Skinny's 2nd post... turning it back on.
Interesting... command prompt can be used to bypass lock? Skinny, would you plz post commands sometime so we can store them up for emergency use?

GN? What is that?

Btw, I got Windows 7 back on my laptop, installed a bunch of drivers from the HP website, including some new Intel HD Graphics Drivers (which fixed my biggest issues) as well as my Realtek wireless adapter drivers... just gotta set up my laptop again and I'll be back up and running by next week, probably :) right now my main focus is getting my other documents on here so I can hurry up and do my final projects (I have two due on Monday that I really needed Windows for) so I'll still have to wait a bit.

Now, back to the rom, if that tethering app works hell I'll use it myself. I'll see if I can integrate it into the rom as a workaround just so there can at least be some sort of option to tether on this damn rom. Aside from tethering, has anyone had any smoothness issues more than a week after installing the second-latest Release Candidate (11)? RC13 is totally useless since it didn't fix anything.

Oh you mean Google Now... Google Now only works on Jelly Bean roms. This rom is based on 2.3.5 Gingerbread :)

Did you think it was Jelly Bean? If you did then I'm really glad, it means I did a good job with the theme work :D

dude its themed great forreal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! good to hear ur gettin ur laptop up n runnun and i have yet to have any problems w the rom other than whats known great work cant wait for final

Windows 7 Ultimate and Mint 16 on my laptop, finally... now I can do more dev work on my laptop since I finally have dual boot :) I'll probably have it completely set up by the weekend with luck :D

Honestly Google Now is the primary reason I stuck with CM10. It's fantastic. I tried out Maluuba as a substitute, since it runs on PreJellyBean devices, but it's not really mature enough for daily use in my opinion. At least not in the ways I use GN.

Wish I had even 1/4 the energy you have! :trytofly:
;)

I use an app on stock ROM called Auto USB Tethering 1.14

Would that work on this ROM or does something have to be done within ROM to make it "USB tethering" work?

No, itll work probably. Its not an issue with network routing so it'll run fine... the issue with the rom is that the smali files call up something in hidden menu in Phone.apk and it doesn't make sense.... what is it calling up?

That's craziness! I'll take a look this weekend, maybe I'll get lucky lol. Pm any details you think might help... send email address too and I'll send over those files I talked to you about...

I'll send you some files when I'm done setting my laptop back up, I need to reactivate some stuff and get some files that I backed up back on here, I lost all my rom data except for everything on Copy so I need to get that back too... I had logcats and java sources made from smali for the tether issue but those are gone, so I have to make them again and it'll be maybe two weeks before I can... its time for midterms at school so I'll be working on that all week.

Also for everyone else... I'm trying to do AOSP now :D specifically, I wanna fix up Cyanmobile so that we can have a working cm7 rom at least, while everyone else is on kk or jb -__- I just need a new bigger hard drive so I don't kill myself with this small 640GB one while building. So expect something in the next coming year (i'm new to all this) when I have the money for upgrades and can learn about aosp and such :)

So I now have my goals for what to have either by school ends or the end of summer.

For my new hard drive, I want to be able to save up and earn enough to get a Western Digital WD10TPVT (about $150-200, 2.5", 1TB SATA 3GB/s, 5200 RPM, 8 MB cache) and a pair of RAM sticks for my laptop since this is what I'm gonna be working on unless I build my own desktop in the next 5 years. It sucks that you need money for everything :/

Until then, I can make with my laptop as is and finish up HaloBean hopefully by the end of February :)

Apparently these settings are great for the skinny halo!! Been messing around with voltage settings and everything works great! Downloaded over 60 apps and not a single hitch so far! Except for the few casual reboots in the beginning but now its lightning fast!!! Woohooo
